Colorado Rockies at Toronto Blue Jays

Toronto Blue Jays and southpaw Mark Buehrle (3-4, 4.66 ERA) try to complete the interleague sweep of the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday. Red hot Jays on a 7-0 streak outscoring opponents 41-12 will be in good hands. Buehrle rounding into form with his new club is off a 7 inning 4 hit shutout win and has pitched at least six innings in nine consecutive outings guiding Jays to a 6-3 record over the span. It’s not going to be easy for a Colorado team that hasn’t been good as a road underdog facing a left-handed starter. Rockies are 2-7 this season in the situation, 7-24 last 31 occurrences. Buehrle on a 7-2 June home team start stretch, Jays 4-1 as home favorite with the southpaw and 5-1 at home this season vs the Senior League expect Jays to extend the winning streak while Rockies fall to 3-10 overall vs the Junior League. One last tid-bit, the home team has won all 14 meetings between these clubs with Colorado 0-8 at Rogers Centre.

White Sox - Twins Preview
Sportspic.com

Two teams that have been struggling of late will play the second of a three-game series tonight as the Minnesota Twins and Chicago White Sox meet at Target Field. The White Sox win the dubious honor of having the worse struggle, with just five wins in the last 20 contests.

The run total for tonight’s game is 7.5, yet the White Sox are road favorites at -140 according to the current betting odds at Bovada

That designation is primarily because of who’s starting for the White Sox: Chris Sale, who has a misleading 5-5 record with a 2.43 ERA. The portsider comes off his last effort, where he struck out 14 Astros, yet took the loss in a 2-1 heartbreaker. That continues a frustrating stretch for the southpaw: in his last four starts away from the Windy City, Sale has a microscopic 0.62 ERA, yet has lost two of three decisions.

The lefty has been known to bettors as a pitcher good for keeping the score down, with his 41 career starts seeing 27 of them finish Under the total, including one push. When those games have been on the road, the Under has won 16 of 22 times. This season, those numbers are even more pronounced with a 10-1-1 record in favor of the Under.

The Twins will offer Kevin Correia, who has had three consecutive no-decisions, but still has a 5-4 mark with a 3.97 ERA for the season. In his first season with the Twins, Correia’s numbers at home and on the road are markedly different: at Target Field, his ERA is 2.83, while away from there, he’s saddled with a 5.56 ERA.

In Correia’s 13 starts this year, nine have gone Under, including five of seven in Minnesota. For good measure, five of the last seven Twins home games have been Under, while four of six during the year have been Under the number when the total is Under eight.

Sale’s hard-luck defeat is a good omen for the Under tonight, since each of the last five times he has come off a loss, his next start has gone Under.

Such numbers have also been evident in all of major league baseball recently. In the last eight games in which a road starter is coming off a loss despite the opponent scoring two runs or less, the Under has cashed six times with one push.

Neither team has been playing well enough to put money on, but the two hurlers have shown throughout this year that they know how to keep baserunners from crossing the plate. Therefore, the only call is

Play Minnesota and Chicago White Sox Under 7.5
