NOTTINGHAM, England (TheSpread) – A pair of heavyweight up-and-comers meet in the main event of UFC on Fuel TV 5 this Saturday.

UFC on Fuel TV 5 will take place from the Capital FM Arena with the main card bouts airing live on Fuel TV at 4PM ET.

The main event of Saturday’s card features heavyweights Stefan Struve (24-5) and Stipe Miocic (9-0) colliding. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Miocic is the favorite in this bout, as he has odds of -225 to win, while Struve has a money line of +185. Struve is a very tall and long fighter with great submission skills while Miocic is more compact and powerful. Miocic likes to use his striking to win fights while Struve relies on his ground game, especially off his back. Struve has struggled against good technical strikers, which Miocic is, but if this fight gets to the ground, it could be trouble for Miocic.

In the co-main event, welterweights Dan Hardy (24-1) and Amir Sadollah (6-3) meet. According to the oddsmakers, Hardy is favored to win, as he has odds of -200. Sadollah has been given a money line of +160 to win. Hardy is from Nottingham, and will have the crowd on his side. He also has 1-punch knockout power, which could be a problem for Sadollah, who typically relies on muay thai striking. Sadollah’s best bet to win is getting Hardy to the ground, where he has struggled to get off his back when taken down.

NOTTINGHAM, England (TheSpread) – UFC on Fuel TV takes place on Saturday afternoon. Here is a look at a few picks to consider for this card.

Bet on UFC Odds

UFC on Fuel TV 5 will take place from the Capital FM Arena with the main card bouts airing live on Fuel TV at 4PM ET. All picks are made from odds according to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv.

UFC Heavyweight Bout – Stefan Struve (24-5) vs. Stipe Miocic (9-0)

Struve is a tough fighter and he poses a threat on the ground, but I think Miocic is the better of the two. He has great striking and respectable grappling skills. Struve lacks the ability to get the fight to the ground with wrestling, so his only hope is to pull guard. I expect Miocic to avoid that and pepeer Struve with big punches and kicks. Look for a second round TKO for the Croatian. FREE PICK – Stipe Miocic -225

UFC Welterweight Bout – Dan Hardy (24-1) vs. Amir Sadollah (6-3)

This fight is in Hardy’s backyard and it should be a fight that plays into his favor. Sadollah is a complex muay thai striker, but he lacks a lot of KO power. Hardy is a very technical boxer with one-punch knockout power. The key for Hardy will be to stay off his back, which I think he can do against Sadollah. I look for a quick first round KO for Hardy, as he catches Sadollah on a counter punch. FREE PICK – Dan Hardy -200

UFC Lightweight Bout – Paul Sass (13-0) vs. Matt Wiman (14-6)

Wiman is a grinding fighter that has only lost to some of the best in the UFC at 155 pounds. All his losses have also come by decision, as he makes his opponents have to really work to win. Sass is impressive, with 12 of his 13 wins coming by submission, but this is a big step up in competition for him. I see Sass getting overwhelmed by Wiman’s pressure and Wiman controlling the fight for 15 minutes to earn a decision. FREE PICK – Matt Wiman -115
