New York Knicks at Toronto Raptors

The Knicks travel north of the border to take on the Raptors in this right back revenge rematch from yesterday that saw Toronto beat New York, 102-95, at Madison Square Garden. Today, however, the roles reverse with the Raptors dressing up as the favorite. Meanwhile the Knicks will be seeking same season double revenge, a role in which they are 4-1 ATS this season under Mike D'Antoni. With Toronto 0-2 SU and ATS against same season double avenging foes this campaign, look for New York to get their payback here today.

Play on: Toronto

Mr. Blade,
Just confirming his play on this game; according to his write up, his play is on the KNICS not on RAPTORS. Thanks in advance for your reply and all you do for this site.

Red Dog Sports

Play Utah and New Orleans under 193 on Sunday.

The Hornets have played under in 10 of their last 12 overall and 20 unders and 8 overs in their last 28 at home. The under has prevailed 5-1-1 in the last 7 meetings and this year New Orleans has played unders in 24 of their 38 home games.

Re: Sunday Service Plays

Greg Shaker

Indiana Pacers at Oklahoma City Thunder
Play:Pacers +3

I have watched this line Zoom from -1 to -3 and it is time to jump. The Biggest Play we had a couple of days ago was Portland verses this OK City Squad and the reasons for this one are similar. The Thunder is nothing but a light drizzle right now and with the exception of reasonable play from time to time, they are not playing sound basketball, and they are not covering the number. The Pacers still have an outside chance of playoffing and even though it would take some doing, they have not given up hope. Perhaps they should, but don't tell this team that. They have won their last 4 of 5 and they have done that in fine fashion with increased efforts off the bench by Mr Ford and great work from the starting five. They are not afraid of the Big Bad Road Wolf, covering their last 7 of 10 and they certainly should not be afraid of the team they will meet this evening. OK City has very poor offensive numbers over their last 17 games and in fact, they have not reached the Century Mark in any of those games. BINGO!! They are going to have to do that tonight to win this contest with the Pacers recent offensive efficiency patterns. They did not stop them in the first meeting this year and low and behold, they allowed 107 and scored less than 100 themselves. If Team psychology means anything, we should be swimming in the Crystal Blue Lake later this evening. But don't forget to lay your wallet on the shoreline, because it is going to more than likely be stuffed with some Big Bills.

Re: Sunday Service Plays

Johnny Guild

Utah Jazz at New Orleans Hornets

The Jazz have dominated the Hornets, winning eight of the last 10 clashes, including the two earlier meetings in Salt Lake City this season, going 6-1-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings. However, Utah is presently playing below par. They have dropped their last three games and have been an unprofitable road bet, just 1-6 both straight-up and against the spread in their last 7 games away from home. Take New Orleans tonight in their Arena. The home team has covered the spread in five of the last six meetings in this series.

New Orleans Hornets -2.5

Re: Sunday Service Plays

Michael Alexander

Portland Trail Blazers vs. Houston Rockets
Play: Houston Rockets -3.5

The Portland Trail Blazers travel to take on the Houston Rockets in NBA Picks action. The Blazers are coming off four straight blowout wins that have put them within reach of clinching a playoff spot. Portland sits at 48-27 on the season, a half game ahead of Houston for the fourth spot in the West. If they win or Phoenix loses today the Blazers will clinch a playoff spot for the fist time since 2003. Winning today will certainly be a challenge for Portland as they have lost 9 of their last 10 NBA Picks at Houstong while averaging only 82.8 points per game.

The Houston Rockets come into this NBA Picks contest struggling on offense. They have scored less than 88 points in three of their last five games overall, including their loss to the Lakers on Friday. They have been tough on defense however as they limited the Lakers to only 39% shooting from the floor and has allowed 91.1 points per game at home winning 15 of their last 17 including a 98-94 win over Portland back in February.

Trends/Angles: PORTLAND is 7-19 ATS (-13.9 Units) after 3 consecutive covers as a favorite since 1996 while HOUSTON is 21-7 ATS (+13.3 Units) versus teams who average 7 or less steals/game - 2nd half of the season over the last 2 seasons.

Portland has struggled on the road while Houston has been almost unbeatable on their home hardwood. I'm taking Houston in this one.

Re: Sunday Service Plays

Ted Sevransky

Golden State Warriors @ Sacramento Kings
PICK: Sacramento Kings

Golden State is heading quickly towards ‘we’ve quit’ territory when they leave the friendly confines of Oracle Arena. Don Nelson’s squad has been playing out the string since the All Star break, but they’ve won 11 of their last 15 at home, averaging 120 points per game in the process. But when we take the Warriors out of Oakland, we’re looking at a 1-11 SU record in their last dozen tries, including ugly losses at Milwaukee and even at the LA Clippers.

The Warriors have shut down their primary veteran presence, swingman Stephen Jackson, out for the year following toe surgery. Second half sparkplug Monta Ellis isn't going to play today. Center Andris Biedrins hasn’t been healthy in months – don’t expect him to be anywhere near 100% today if he takes the court. Forward Brandon Wright is sitting with a bad shoulder while guard Marco Bellinelli is sitting with a bad ankle. And let’s not forget about Corey Maggette, unable to suit up with recurring concussion issues. That’s a pretty hefty injury list for a pretty downtrodden team to begin with.

The Warriors are pretty much beaten down at this stage of the season, a hard team to bet on in any contest that they’ll need to win in order to cover the pointspread. Golden State has already lost twice to the Kings this year, one of the few teams that Sacramento actually has confidence against. Sacramento is continuing to fight, showing up for recent wins against the Suns, Knicks, Nuggets, Clippers and Grizzlies. Like Golden State, all five of those teams don’t play much defense… 2* Take Sacramento.

Re: Sunday Service Plays

Larry Ness

Portland Trail Blazers @ Houston Rockets
PICK: Houston Rockets

The Blazers have won four straight games (by margins of 20, 20, 21 and 35 points) and are on the verge of clinching a playoff spot for the first time since 2003. A win here or a Phoenix loss (at Dallas), would end the team's five-year playoff drought. Roy (22.9-4.9-5.2) and Aldridge (18.4-7.5) have been the team's leaders all season but players like Outlaw (12.7-4.2) at small forward and Fernandez (10.2) at shooting guard, have been HUGE catalysts. Both players come off the bench to give the Blazers a big lift night after night. Oden (8.9-7.1) gets a lot of criticism at center but he's back healthy and he and Pryzbilla (5.4-8.5) offer a quality combo in the middle. The team was 10-5 with Oden sidelined from Feb 18 through Mar 16, as Pryzbilla averaged double digits in rebounds. However, with Oden's return on Mar 18, the team has gone 6-2, including those four straight blowout wins. Oden's averaged 10.0-6.5 in that four-game stretch, with Przybilla averaging 7.8 RPG. While I like the Blazers, this is NOT a good spot for them. They enter 48-27, which puts them just barely ahead of tonight's opponent, the 48-28 Rockets. The West is a logjam behind the Lakers, as the No. 2 seed leads the No. 6 seed by just three games. No one at Houston misses T-Mac (he can't possibly come back next year, can he?), as Ming (19.6-9.8), Artest (17.2-5.3-3.2), Scola (12.6-8.8), Brooks (11.2-3.1 APG) and Battier (7.1-4.7) round out a quality starting-five. Lowry (7.1-3.5 APG) has been excellent in his 22 games with team backing up Brooks at the point, while Wafer (9.6) continues to provide a scoring 'punch' off the bench. Landry (9.3-5.0) has done a nice job in the frontcourt but he's out with a calf injury. The fact is, the Rockets have won 15 of their last 17 home games (losses to the Lakers and Spurs), allowing only 91.1 PPG. Meanwhile, the Blazers have lost EIGHT of their last 10 visits to Houston, while scoring just 82.8 PPG during that stretch. Lay the small number with Houston.

Jimmy The Moose

Atlanta Thrashers at Washington Capitals
Prediction: Atlanta Thrashers

The Atlanta Thrashers have been out of the playoff race for quite some time but they have been playing some very good hockey of late. The Thrashers have won 4 straight and 5 of their last 6 games. Atlanta has won 8 of their last 10 games coming off a win. The Thrashers have won their last 4 games as an underdog. Atlanta has also won 5 of their last 7 road games. The Capitals are one of the games most exciting team's but look for them to overlook Atlanta in this one. Play on the Atlanta Thrashers +.

Jimmy Boyd

1 Unit on Nuggets/Timberwolves OVER 207

Denver is on a scoring spree, having conquered the century mark in 12 straight games, scoring 111 or more in 9 of those games. I expect the Nuggets to dictate the pace here and to see a lot of points put up on the board in this one. We'll play on the over on all teams where the total is greater than or equal to 200 (MINNESOTA) - poor team - outscored by their opponents by 3+ points/game against an opponent after leading their last 2 games by 10+ points at the half. This system is 35-11 Over the last 5 seasons. Bet the Over.

Re: Sunday Service Plays

Dwayne Bryant

DAL / PHO Under 230

In looking at the three meetings between these two teams this season, only one of the games went over today's posted total. That was a 122-117 Dallas win at Phoenix on 3/10. In that game, Dallas shot 53.4% from the field, while Phoenix shot 55.2%.In the other game in Phoenix this season, a 128-100 Suns win on 1/9, the teams combined to shoot 53% from the field. Yet that game still would've been under today's total despite excellent shooting.Based on that info, it would seem that this game has a very good chance to stay under the total even if the teams shoot above 50% for the game. Sounds good to me. I'll take the UNDER.
