Thursday Service Plays

Re: Thursday Service Plays

Cleveland Cavaliers at Houston Rockets

The hot Rockets have won five straight overall and and their last eighth at home. LeBron James and crew will have a big task against the surging Houston Rockets tonight. The Cavaliers are 1-5 both straight-up and against the spread in its last 6 games versus the Rockets at Toyota Center and have dropped 17 of its last 20 games in Houston.

Houston Rockets -2½

Phoenix Suns at Los Angeles Lakers

Expect an explosive battle. The Lakers and Kobe Bryant will faceoff against Shaquille O’Neal and the Suns tonight at the Staple Center. Los Angeles is averaging 108.9 points per game, the highest scoring team in the league, while Phoenix is averaging 106.5 points per game, the third highest scoring team in the league.
The Lakers are 22-3 in their last 25 games at home and have won five of six clashes versus Phoenix, going 4-2 ATS. The total has gone ‘over’ in six of the last eight meetings and six of the last eight at Staples Center.

I believe the Lakers will grab a home victory, especially with Suns, point guard Steve Nash and fellow guard Jason Richardson questionable for tonight’ battle, but laying 9.5 is a bit hefty. Take the Suns to cover the spread. Phoenix has won four of their last five games overall and the underdog in this rivalry is 5-2 ATS in the last 7 clashes.

Phoenix Suns +9.5

Youngstown St. Penguins +16.5
Gonzaga Bulldogs -10

Houston Rockets -2½
Los Angeles Lakers -9½

We got back on the winning track last night with our free play winner on UNC Greenboro PLUS a ridiculous amount of points and we also cashed in on our top play, 30-dime winner on the Charlotte Bobcats. Tonight I plan on not only winning my free play but I’m going to torch the books with three easy 15-dime winners.

The Phoenix of Wisc. Green Bay are giving an unusually small number tonight to a very bad Detroit Mercy team that they beat by 11 in their last meeting. Wisc. Green Bay has won their last two games by double digits while Detroit has dropped four straight games by a double-digit average. These two teams are heading in opposite directions and Green Bay knows they need to pound a lesser team tonight to continue their run towards the #1 seed in their conference tourney. A win tonight followed by a Butler loss would put them in a tie atop the Horizon League standings. I expect a double-digit rout from the road team tonight and another easy free winner.
