Kansas over UNLV by 21

Kent State didn't show up. Kansas will. UNLV's pressure is like Missouri's pressure. No prob for Kansas until they put in the subs but they should have it covered by that time. KANSAS, 84-63.

Re: Saturday Service Plays

John Ryan's 10* Round 2 Monster Game of the Year

Game: Marquette at Stanford
Prediction: Marquette

Reason: Ai Simulator 10* graded play on Marquette. AiS shows an 87% probability that Marquette will win this game . AiS shows a 92% probability that Marquette will get 34 or more total rebounds in this game. Note that Marquette is 11-3 ATS in road games when they grab 34 to 39 rebounds in a game over the last 3 seasons. Supporting this graded play is a system that has produced a record of 97-46 ATS for 68% since 1997. Play against neutral court teams as a favorite or pick after a cover as a double digit favorite and with the game being played on Saturday. Here is a second system that has gone 73-38 ATS for 66% since 1997. Play against a favorite after successfully covering the spread in 2 or more consecutive games and when seeded 4 or higher in the NCAA tournament. Stanford is just not an aggressive defensive team and this will allow Marquette to pretty much run whatever half court set they want to try. Note that Marquette is 25-8 ATS versus teams who average 6 or less steals/game on the season after 15+ games since 1997. Marquette is know for their intense defense and they should be as they are allowing 41% shooting and just 30 points in the first half on the season. Note that Stanford is 12-25 ATS in road games versus good defensive teams that are allowing a shooting pct defense of <=42% after 15+ games since 1997. Marquette is also 8-1 ATS in road games when playing their 2nd game in 3 days over the last 3 seasons.

Re: Saturday Service Plays

Tom Scott

Kansas State at Wisconsin
Prediction: Wisconsin

Reason: WISCONSIN over Kansas State by 14
The Wildcats took me down on Thursday by scoring 80 points against a team who had allowed an average of 59 points per game in its five games against three of the top four seeds in the tournament. Let's see if Kansas State can do it again. This time, the Cats will be facing a team with a far better record than USC and a defense that allowed TEN points less per game than the Trojans. Two superb angles, one at 25-4 ATS and the other at 18-4 ATS fuel this selection but so do these stunning team trends: Kansas State has NEVER covered the spread in a non-conference tourney game in any of these three roles - Away from home, as an underdog or against an opponent off a SUATS win. Granted, those trends only add up to 0-10 but that's because Kansas State rarely wins in this event (Thursday's triumph was its first since at least 1990). We'll take another defensive demon and try to add to Kansas State's dismal 3-15 ATS mark when scoring less than 80 points (Wisconsin allows less than 54 per game).

PREDICTION: WISCONSIN 74 - Kansas State 60

Re: Saturday Service Plays

Matty O'Shea

Stanford -3.0 vs Marquette

Analysis: The Marquette Golden Eagles have one big weakness, and that lies in their frontcourt. They were 1-5 SU in their last six games against the top teams in the Big East that had a size advantage, and Stanford will have a big one on Saturday with the 7-foot Lopez twins. The Cardinal has enjoyed an outstanding season outside of three losses to UCLA and will be up for the challenge against a small Marquette team here. They beat a solid Cornell team badly in the first round and have averaged 36 rebounds per game away from home this season compared to just 30 for the Golden Eagles. This huge edge on the boards will be the deciding factor, so take Stanford as my Single Dime NCAA Tournament Second Round Side Play O' the Day for Saturday.

PHI / NJN Over 199.5

Analysis: Throw out the recent meetings between these two teams, which have seen the UNDER cash three out of the last four times. These teams are scoring like crazy and playing little defense lately, which should lead to another easy OVER. The OVER is 4-0 in Philadelphia's last four games and 5-0 in New Jersey's last five. The OVER is also 11-4 in the last 15 games vs. Atlantic Division opponents for the 76ers. Both teams also played on Friday night and will be traveling, so I don't think either will be up to the task defensively. Look for a high-scoring affair in Philly and bet the OVER as my Single Dime NBA Total Play O' the Day.
