Boise State/Fresno State 9:00: Fresno has seemingly bounced back (5-2) following their 4-8 disaster last year. And the magic is coming back to Bulldog Stadium where they've done tremendous damage as underdogs under HC Hill (8-3 ATS as a home dog since 1997). On the road, Boise has shown some defensive weakness and has not exhibited the offensive explosiveness they've shown on their home turf. And without top rusher Ian Johnson (bruised kidney), their run game shouldn't be as potent. Boise's last conference loss was a 27-7 defeat in 2005 at this stadium, and they could find themselves losing the "Milk Can" tonight with a vengeful Fresno team that's restoring its luster on their home turf.

There’s no doubt whatsoever that the Hurricanes have much of their swagger back that they lost last year and that they had in their Stanley Cup run two seasons ago. The Canes have just one regulation loss all year in 10 games and they lead the NHL in goals scored with 35. However, the Habs are playing some very good hockey too and in fact, they beat the Hurricanes in Carolina earlier in the year. Montreal has two wins in a row over Buffalo and Boston and they outscored that duo 10-3. The Habs power-play is second best in the NHL and in true Canadien tradition, their getting tremendous goaltending from Cristobal Huet. The Habs are in tough here but so are the Hurricanes and we’re just playing the value here, which is on the visitor. Play: Montreal +1.62 (Risking 2 units).



Vancouver -1.05 over WASHINGTON PINNACLE

The puck line has heavy influence on this choice, as the Caps are -½ +1.50 and that line is designed to attract Washington money. A bet on the Capitals is very tempting indeed because the Canucks are just not playing good hockey, period. Vancouver has now lost two in a row and four of five and it’s also their fourth road game in a row on the road. Playing the Canucks +½ -1.60 has absolutely no appeal and nobody in their right mind would make that wager. The Caps are coming off a very nice win over the Lightning to run their record to a very respectable 4-4. So, we’re going to play the Canucks on the money line for the simple reason that the puck line says so. Play: Vancouver –1.05 (Risking 2.10 units to win 2).
