Vancouver at Anaheim (9 p.m. EDT). The Ducks will advance to the Western Conference finals for the second straight year and third time in four seasons with a win in Game 5. Oddsmakers list the Ducks at -228 with the total set at 4 1/2.

STARS Tuesday

-Travis Moen, Ducks, scored 2:07 into overtime to give Anaheim a 3-2 win at Vancouver.

-Henrik Lundqvist, Rangers, made 29 saves to help New York hold off Buffalo 2-1.

ALL TIED UP

The New York Rangers evened their semifinal series with Presidents'' Trophy-winning Buffalo at two games apiece with a 2-1 win on Tuesday night. The home team has won all four games in this series.

SERIES STRANGLEHOLD

Anaheim took a 3-1 lead in its Western Conference semifinal series with Vancouver after rallying for a 3-2 overtime win on Tuesday night. The Ducks, who trailed 2-0 entering the third period, got the tying goal from Teemu Selanne with 5:42 left in regulation and the winner from Travis Moen 2:07 into overtime.

EXTRA, EXTRA

Vancouver played its fifth overtime game of this year''s playoffs on Tuesday night, losing 3-2 to Anaheim. The Canucks are 3-2 in those games, including a 2-1 double-overtime win over the Ducks in Game 2 last Friday.

HEALED

Red Wings forward Tomas Holmstrom is expected to return from an eye injury Wednesday night for Game 4 of Detroit''s second-round playoff series against San Jose. Holmstrom has been out since April 22, when Calgary''s Craig Conroy hit him with his stick in Detroit''s series-winning victory over the Flames.

SIDELINED

Vancouver forward Jeff Cowan had minor knee surgery before Game 4 of the Canucks'' second-round series with Anaheim on Tuesday and will be out for an indefinite period, according to the team. Cowan had the double-overtime winner in Game 2, but was hurt in Game 3.

FINALISTS

Sidney Crosby, the 19-year-old NHL scoring champion from Pittsburgh, is a finalist for league MVP in just his second season. Crosby, who had 120 points, was nominated along with a pair of netminders, New Jersey''s Martin Brodeur and Roberto Luongo of Vancouver. Brodeur and Luongo are also finalists for the Vezina Trophy, awarded to the NHL''s top goalie, along with Henrik Lundqvist of the New York Rangers and Miikka Kiprusoff of Calgary. Nicklas Lidstrom of Detroit, Chris Pronger of Anaheim, and Ducks teammate Scott Niedermayer, are up for the Norris Trophy, given to the best defenseman. Buffalo''s Lindy Ruff, the coach of the year last season, is again up for the award after guiding the Sabres to their first Presidents'' Trophy title. Pittsburgh''s Michel Therrien and Vancouver''s Alain Vigneault are also up for the Adams Award.

SPEAKING

''I think they misjudged the one last game. The Rangers'' goal should''ve been a goal. For the sake of all, I hope they made the right call because that wouldn''t be good - two games in a row, two critical goals disallowed.'''' - Buffalo forward Daniel Briere on having his potential tying goal disallowed with 17 seconds remaining in the New York Rangers'' 2-1 win on Tuesday night. On Sunday, Rangers defenseman Karel Rachunek lost a goal when league officials in Toronto used a replay to determine he kicked the puck in.
