- Jason Richardson, Warriors, scored a season-high 36 points and hit a franchise-record eight 3-pointers to lead Golden State over Phoenix 124-119.

-Tarence Kinsey, Grizzlies, scored 20 points to lead Memphis over Portland 96-92.

THREE IN A ROW

The Chicago Bulls clinched their third straight playoff berth, pulling out an 83-81 victory over the Detroit Pistons after blowing a 12-point lead in the fourth quarter on Thursday night.

THAT'S TWO

Memphis won consecutive games for the first time this season, beating Portland 96-92 Thursday night. The Grizzlies were coming off a win Tuesday over the Los Angeles Lakers and were the only team in the NBA that hadn't won two straight games this season.

Nets G Eddie House sidelined indefinitely by hip injury

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- New Jersey guard Eddie House will be sidelined indefinitely with a mild concussion and a partial tear of the left hip muscle, Nets President Rod Thorn announced Thursday.

House was injured in the second quarter Wednesday night against Indiana.

Signed as a free agent in August, House is averaging 8.4 points, while shooting 43 percent from both the field and 3-point range.

Mavs Dirk Nowitzki (ankle) has been upgraded to probable for tonight's game.

Nuggets Allen Iverson (elbow) has been added to the injury report as probable for tonight's game.

Celtics Paul Pierce (elbow) has traveled with the team to Philadelphia, but is still listed as a game-time decision for tonight.

Pistons Richard Hamilton (flu) is expected to return tonight after missing the previous three games.

Knicks Steve Francis (ankle) did not travel with the team to Dallas, and will not play tonight according to the New York Post.

76ers Willie Green (knee) is expected to miss tonight's game according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Jazz Matt Harpring (flu) will not play in tonight's game.

Knicks' Richardson undergoes back surgery
March 30th, 2007

New York, NY (Sports Network) - The New York Knicks announced on Friday that guard/forward Quentin Richardson underwent successful back surgery.

The procedure took place on Thursday and was performed by Dr. Green at UM- Jackson Memorial Hospital.

"Quentin had a successful microdiskectomy and is expected to resume a normal NBA career," said Dr. Green.

In 49 games this season, Richardson has averaged 13.0 points and 7.2 rebounds per contest.

Mavericks Dirk Nowitzki (ankle) and Josh Howard (ankle) have been downgraded to questionable for tonight, after the team's shootaround this morning.

Celtics Paul Pierce (elbow) has been dowgraded to out of tonight's game.
