Maxim Mamin scored a pair of goals in a 4-3 shootout win over St. Louis on Saturday afternoon. Mamin was the unlikely hero for the Panthers in a come-from-behind win over the Blues. He tied the game at 1-1 in the first period with his second goal of the year and evened the score again at the 17:26 mark of the third period. Anton Lundell assisted on both goals. Mamin concluded the contest with five shots on goal in 14:36 of ice time. He had one point in eight appearances going into Saturday's matchup.

Robert Thomas didn't practice on Monday because of a lower-body injury and he is considered to be day-to-day. If Thomas can't play on Tuesday against Florida then the Blues may have to play one player short due to salary cap constraints. Coach Craig Berube said Monday that the injury has been lingering for Thomas, who has played through it, but "now he needs the rest." Thomas would be a big loss for the Blues, as he leads the team with 20 assists and sits second on St. Louis with 22 points in 24 games.
