Saints vs. Titans Total Prediction
One of the more underrated matchups in Week 16 of the NFL season pits the Saints versus the Titans this weekend in Nashville. With the total sitting at 50.5 points, is that too high to take the over?

New Orleans Saints Fantasy Spin
Drew Brees completed 29-of-30 passes for 307 yards and four touchdowns in the Saints' 34-7, Week 15 win over the Colts Monday night. On a night he passed Peyton Manning for the NFL passing touchdowns record, throwing his 538th, 539th, 540th, and 541st scores, Brees also set the record for the best single-game passing percentage. He completed all but one pass and finished the night with an insane 96.7% success rate on his throws. It was a truly surgical and historic night for the soon-to-be 41-year-old (next month) as Brees picked apart the Colts' zone defense. The 11-3 Saints will travel to Tennessee to take on the Titans in Week 16. Brees is on a heater with 11 touchdowns and no turnovers the last three weeks.
Tennessee Titans Fantasy Spin
Ryan Tannehill completed 22-of-36 passes for 279 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in the Titans' 24-21, Week 15 loss to the Texans, adding three carries for 10 yards and an additional score. It was Tannehill's most Dolphins day in a while, but he took advantage of increased volume to save his fantasy performance with his third three-score effort in four starts. His 36 pass attempts were his second most of the season, coming after the Titans fell behind 14-0 going into the half. Tannehill's internal clock was a beat too slow several times, but his "interception" was more of an Anthony Firkser fumble. Tannehill has a daunting Week 16 home date with the Saints before a Week 17 rematch with Houston.
NFL Betting Trends
New Orleans
The under is 9-4 in the Saints’ last 13 road games but the over is 10-3 in their last 13 games coming off a loss.
Tennessee
The over is 7-1 in the Titans’ last eight games overall and is 4-1 in their last five home games.
Prediction
The Saints played extremely well defensively on Monday night but are down several key defenders and the Colts looked completely flat after losing to the Bucs the week before. The Titans, meanwhile, struggled with turnovers a week ago versus the Texans but still managed to score 21 second-half points. I envision this game starting slow but eventually ramping up to its shootout potential.
