Atlanta Falcons Fantasy Spin
Calvin Ridley (abdomen) announced he's out for the season via an Instagram post. His full statement can be read in the link below. Ridley was carted to the locker room in the first half after falling to his knees and being unable to stand. Even in a lost season for the Falcons, though, the second-year gem's 63/866/7 surpassed his rookie receiving mark (821) in what should be viewed as a successful sophomore follow-up. With 17 touchdowns under his belt in just 29 career games (and 15 starts), it's not a stretch to consider Ridley's first two seasons among the best starts of any skill player's immediately out of college. He'll be in the conversation as a Top 30 wideout in Best-Ball leagues and season-long formats in 2020.
San Francisco 49ers Fantasy Spin
49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said Raheem Mostert has "earned" his role as the team's top ball-carrier with his recent production. San Francisco had been employing a committee until recently with Mostert separating himself from the Niners' backfield pack with four touchdowns over his last three games. "Raheem’s earned it over these last few weeks," said Shanahan. "We keep trying to balance it out, but what Raheem has done these last few weeks and has continued to do, we need to give him more opportunities. He’s given us no choice." Mostert's unlikely emergence—since going undrafted out of Purdue he's risen from special teams afterthought to lead rusher on one of the league's best offenses—has been nothing short of remarkable. Matt Breida and Tevin Coleman should still see some level of involvement, but Mostert is clearly in the driver's seat. He'll be an RB2 consideration when the Niners host the Falcons (whose offense Shanahan coordinated before landing his first head-coaching gig) in Week 15

Prediction
This is a big line but I’m going to lay the points anyway. The Falcons just blew out the Panthers 40-20, but Atlanta has owned Carolina over the years and this is not a good matchup for Matt Ryan and Co. Kyle Shanahan knows exactly how to attack his former boss Dan Quinn’s defense and Quinn often doesn’t have a clue when it comes to slowing down potent attacks like Shanahan’s offense. San Francisco also owns the top pass rush in the league and Atlanta has struggled to protect Ryan virtually all season. Without Ridley, Ryan is also down one of his key weapons. Unless the Niners sleepwalk through this one, they should roll.
NFL Week 15 Prediction: San Francisco 49ers -10.5
