Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Cowboys are 3-point favorites to beat the Eagles. The total, meanwhile, sits at 45.5 points. As of this writing, 51% of the public betting tickets are on the Eagles to cover the point spread.
Philadelphia Eagles
Josh Adams (shoulder) was upgraded to full participation at Thursday's practice. Adams was limited to start the week coming off the Eagles' Monday night game, but he returned to his normal routine on Thursday. Now entrenched as the Eagles' clear No. 1, Adams will be employable as an RB2 Sunday against Dallas.
Dallas Cowboys
Cowboys LT Tyron Smith (questionable, neck) is expected to play Week 14 against the Eagles. He sat out last week's Thursday night game with a neck injury but will give it a go Sunday versus the Eagles. Smith's return is good news for Dak Prescott, who was dropped for seven sacks in his absence last week.
NFL Betting Trends
Philadelphia
The Eagles are 1-4 against the number in their last five games versus a team with a winning record. They’re also 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall.
Dallas
The Cowboys have covered the spread in four consecutive games and are 6-1 ATS in their last seven divisional matchups.
Prediction
With the line dropping from Dallas -3.5 down to 3, there’s some indication that sharps are on Philadelphia. That said, while the Cowboys could suffer an emotional drop after beating the Saints last week, they’re also the better team right now. The Eagles have issues in their secondary, they’ve had all kinds of problems stopping the run, and the Cowboys are playing as well defensively as anyone in the league. I expect a big day from Ezekiel Elliott and for the ‘Boys to control another game with their defense and ground attack.
