Bengals vs. Browns Week 14 Prediction
The Browns are laying seven points to the Bengals on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET in a matchup of AFC North foes. Is that too many points to lay with a 5-7 Cleveland squad coming off a divisional loss a week ago?
Game Snapshot
139 Cincinnati Bengals (+7) at 140 Cleveland Browns (-7); O/U 42.5
1:00 p.m. ET, Sunday, December 8

Cincinnati Bengals Fantasy Spin
Coach Zac Taylor said that WR John Ross (clavicle, IR) will be active for the team's Week 14 matchup against the Browns. Ross posted 7-158-2, 4-112-1, 2-22-0 and 3-36-0 receiving lines in Weeks 1-4. He was the overall PPR WR15 during that span. It's unwise to expect immediate WR2 production from Ross due to the potential for limited snaps as well as the new-found involvement of Auden Tate. Still, Ross' field-stretching ability will at least help open up the underneath areas of the field for Tyler Boyd and Joe Mixon among others.
Cleveland Browns Fantasy Spin
Baker Mayfield (hand) is practicing in full for Week 14. He's good to go for Sunday against the Bengals. Mayfield banged his hand against OLB Bud Dupree's helmet in the first half against the Steelers, missed a few snaps, but returned after going to the locker room. The Bengals have been better defensively of late, but this should be a spot Mayfield can take advantage of with his supporting cast.
NFL Betting Trends
Cincinnati
The Bengals have covered the spread in eight of their last 10 games as a road underdog and are 17-8 against the spread in their last 25 conference games.
Cleveland
The Browns are just 11-23-1 against the number in their last 35 home games and are 2-5-1 at the betting window in their last eight games overall.
Prediction
The Bengals are hot in this series, covering the number in eight of their last nine meetings with the Browns. Cincinnati has also posted five consecutive covers in Cleveland while the road team is 4-1 against the spread in the last five meetings. It took until Week 13 for the Bengals to notch their first victory of the season but if you look back at their last three games, Cincinnati has actually played well defensively. The Bengals held the Raiders to 17 points in Oakland, the Steelers to 16 points two weeks ago at home and the Jets to just six points last Sunday. Even though the Bengals are a near lock to have the No. 1 overall pick in next April’s NFL draft, I don’t feel comfortable laying seven points on a Browns team coming off an emotional loss to Pittsburgh last week.
