NFL Week 14 Picks: Will the under cash in Raiders vs. Chiefs? 12/8/16

Is the under a good bet to cash on Thursday night when the Chiefs host the Raiders at 8:25PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Chiefs are 3-point home favorites versus the Raiders while the over/under currently sits at 46 points. While the point spread opened at 3, the total has moved from 47.5 down to 46.

With their 38-24 win over the Bills last Sunday, the Raiders have now won six straight games to take a one-game lead over the Chiefs in the AFC West. The last time Oakland lost was to Kansas City back in mid-October when the Chiefs played ball-control and kept Derek Carr on the sidelines. The Raiders failed to cover as a 1-point home dog in that game but are 8-4 against the spread this season.

The Chiefs are coming off two big wins, rallying to beat the Broncos 30-27 in overtime two weeks ago and upsetting the Falcons 29-28 as a 5-point road dog last Sunday. Kansas City improved its record to 9-3 and is 6-6 against the spread after covering in back-to-back wins. The Chiefs are 3-5 against the spread as a favorite this year.

OUR PREDICTION: The under is 7-1 in the last eight meetings between these two teams in Kansas City and is 17-6 in the last 23 meetings overall. The under has also cashed in six of the Chiefs' last eight games overall, is 5-2 in their last seven games versus AFC opponents and are 36-15 in their last 51 home games. Despite Oakland's outstanding offense, Thursday night's game in Kansas City should be a close, low-scoring matchup that comes down to the final drive or two.
