Jaguars vs. Titans Total Prediction
AFC South rivals clash in Nashville on Thursday night when the Tennessee Titans host the Jacksonville Jaguars at 8:20 p.m. ET. Even with the total sitting in the 30s, is the under still a safe play for bettors given the offensive struggles of these two teams?

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Titans are 4.5-point favorites to beat the Jaguars. The total, meanwhile, sits at 37.5 points. As of this writing, 52% of the public betting tickets are on the Titans to cover the point spread.
Jacksonville Jaguars
Jaguars reinstated RB Leonard Fournette from suspension. They cut undrafted rookie DB Dee Delaney to make room. Fournette was banned from Week 13 for fighting the Bills in Week 12. Fournette will be all systems go as a workhorse RB1 entering Thursday night's date with Tennessee.
Tennessee Titans
Marcus Mariota completed 20-of-35 passes for 282 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in the Titans' 26-22, Week 13 win over the Jets. Mariota was also the team's leading rusher with 42 yards on five attempts. The Titans were getting creamed early, losing 16-0 at one point deep into the second quarter. But Mariota ended up hitting Anthony Firkser for a 12-yard score with 57 second to half to get the Titans on the board. The teams continued to trade field goals, but Mariota then hit Corey Davis for an 11-yard score on 3rd-and-6 with 36 ticks left in regulation to win the game. Mariota has now strung together back-to-back good games after his injury-aided dud in Indy three weeks back. Tennessee will host the Jaguars in Week 14. Mariota will be more of a mid-range QB2 with upside.
NFL Betting Trends
Jacksonville
The under is 5-1 in the Jaguars’ last six games after allowing less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game.
Tennessee
The under is 4-1 in the Titans’ last five games after accumulating more than 250 yards passing in their previous game.
Prediction
Even though this total is set low, I still like the under. The Jaguars mustered only two field goals in their 6-0 win over the Colts last week after firing their offensive coordinator and benching Blake Bortles for back-up Cody Kessler. Tennessee has better defense than Indianapolis so I can’t imagine Kessler moving the ball more than he did a week ago. On the other side, the Titans’ offense is predicated mostly on running the ball and short, quick passes that allows Mariota to get the ball out of his hand quickly. With the clock consistently moving, the under should be a great bet on Thursday.
