Bet on Panthers vs. Seahawks

Seattle is coming off a surprising 15-4 loss at Tampa Bay last week to fall to 7-3-1 on the season and 6-5 against the spread. They also are 6-5 with the under this year as their offense has been inconsistent. Seattle is averaging just 20.4 points and 360.5 yards per game on offense. They have struggled to run the ball, averaging 88.9 yards per game on the ground. Seattle is hoping that Thomas Rawls can get back in form now that he has returned from a lengthy injury. Russell Wilson has looked more mobile as of late and has thrown for 2,865 yards and 11 touchdowns with four interceptions. Seattle’s defense remains solid, as they allow just 17 points and 353.8 yards per game. The Seahawks also have 31 sacks with 14 forced turnovers. Cliff Avril has 10 sacks to lead the defense.

Carolina suffered a 35-32 loss at Oakland last week to fall to 4-7 on the year. The Panthers are also just 3-7-1 against the spread and 6-5 with the over. The issue for the Panthers hasn’t been a dramatic decline in offense, it’s been the dramatic decline in its defense. The Panthers are giving up 25.5 points and 371.8 yards per game. They are also allowing 292.4 yards per game through the air as the loss of Josh Norman has certainly been a factor. The defense does have 31 sacks as well with 16 forced turnovers, but the team will be without its captain today as Luke Kuechly is out with a concussion. On offense, Carolina is averaging 25.1 points and 371.7 yards per game. Cam Newton has thrown for 2,432 yards and 13 touchdowns with eight interceptions while rushing for 274 yards and five scores. Carolina’s run game is pretty weak as well. Jonathan Stewart is the leading rusher with 461 yards and seven scores.
