Tampa Bay Bucs Fantasy Spin

Chris Godwin caught 7-of-8 targets for 184 yards and two touchdowns in the Bucs' Week 12 win over the Falcons. Godwin got cooking early, finding just enough space over the middle to break off a 71-yard touchdown. But he wasn't done there. Jameis Winston kept giving him opportunities in the intermediate part of the field, and Godwin was constantly open. Godwin's second touchdown was a one-yarder where Godwin had to adjust to an inaccurate pass. Today's game was a reminder of the weekly upside of this Tampa Bay offense, even when Winston is playing up-and-down football. Godwin will be a WR1 against the Jaguars next week.

Jacksonville Jaguars Fantasy Spin

Jaguars coach Doug Marrone said he hasn't considered a quarterback change. Jacksonville took it on the chin Sunday, losing to the division-rival Titans in blowout fashion. The offense looked stagnant and Nick Foles, who threw for 272 scoreless yards on 32-of-48 passing, did little to stop the bleeding. While the Jags could be tempted to give fan favorite Gardner Minshew another shot, Marrone doesn't appear ready to pull the plug on his $88-million QB. "It’s going to be the same questions about jobs, switching quarterbacks, changes, players and all that stuff," said Marrone in the aftermath of Sunday's 22-point defeat. "We’re going to work our [butt] off to get this team right somehow, some way." Despite Foles' playoff pedigree, the younger, more agile Minshew may actually offer a higher ceiling. Either way, the Jags' offense will continue to flow through workhorse Leonard Fournette, who logged a career-high 33 touches in the loss to Tennessee.

NFL Betting Trends

Tampa Bay

The over is 12-2 in the Bucs’ last 14 games after allowing less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game.

Jacksonville

The under is 5-1 in the Jaguars’ last six games after allowing more than 30 points in their previous contest.

Prediction

There’s supposed to be heavy winds at some point in Jacksonville on Sunday, which could impact the passing games of both teams. That’s not a big deal for the Jaguars, as their best offensive game plan is to put the ball in the hands of running back Leonard Fournette. But when it comes to Bruce Arians’ offense, the Bucs might be forced to keep the ball on the ground more than they like. That’s not a bad plan versus the Jags anyway, as Jacksonville’s run defense has been ripped to shreds lately. The under is 8-2 in the Jaguars’ last 10 home games.

NFL Week 13 Prediction: Bucs/Jaguars UNDER 48
