Jets vs. Bengals Total Prediction
Sam Darnold and the Jets offense has clicked of late, but will that lead to a high-scoring game in Cincinnati this weekend? The Jets will visit the Bengals at 1:00 p.m. ET and the total has been bet up from 39.5 to 41.

New York Jets Fantasy Spin
Sam Darnold completed 19-of-30 passes for 293 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception in the Jets' Week 11 win over the Redskins. The Redskins were pathetic on both sides of the ball, but Darnold deserves credit for taking advantage of a golden opportunity. Darnold continues to spread the ball around to his three receivers and even got his tight ends involved with Ryan Griffin and Daniel Brown scoring easy touchdowns. The young quarterback is no longer seeing ghosts and is capable of posting streaming-level performances for fantasy in the best of matchups. Next week's home game against the Raiders qualifies. Darnold will be a QB2 streamer then.
Cincinnati Bengals Fantasy Spin
Coach Zac Taylor confirmed Andy Dalton will start for the team's Week 13 matchup against the Jets. Finally, although Taylor wouldn't commit to how long Dalton would stay under center. The Ryan Finley era was tough to watch, as the Bengals scored 13, 10 and 10 points against the Ravens, Raiders and Steelers. Finley failed to clear 200 yards or complete even 55% of his passes in all three of his starts. Dalton won't turn the Bengals offense back into an elite unit, but his presence boosts the fantasy stock of nearly everyone involved. The only potential exception is Joe Mixon, who was force fed carries with Finley under center. Perhaps even A.J. Green (ankle) will be motivated to suit up with the Red Rifle back under center.
NFL Betting Trends
New York
The under is 9-3 in the Jets’ last 12 games after allowing less than 15 points in their previous contest.
Cincinnati
The under is 33-16-2 in the Bengals’ last 51 games versus AFC opponents.
Prediction
I recognize some value in the over. The Jets offense has scored 34 points in three consecutive games and will face a Bengals defense, while improved over the past two weeks, that is still a major weakness. Cincinnati’s linebackers are some of the worst in football, which provides Le’Veon Bell with a good opportunity to go off. On the other side, Dalton was benched for rookie Ryan Finley and he has one more month to put some good play on film for when the Bengals inevitably move on from him in the offseason. The Jets have played well defensively the past two weeks, but their opponents were the talent-strapped Redskins and a sluggish Raiders team. I see the Bengals moving the ball better with Dalton under center than Finley.
