Poor weather expected for NYG vs. WAS
It could be a sloppy field today in Washington D.C. when the Redskins host their NFC East rivals the Giants at 1:00PM ET.
Weather.com reports that there's currently a light rain in the D.C. area but showers are expected throughout the day. In fact, there's a 70% chance of precipitation for the area, with 9-12mph winds and 49-degree temperatures.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag, the Redskins are a 2-point favorite over the Giants while the over/under has been bet up to 48 after it opened at 46.5.
The under is 6-2 in the last eight meetings between these two teams but the over is 7-3 in the Giants' last 10 road games. New York's defense has been horrible this season so taking the under is a dicey proposition. Wind is usually a bigger factor than rain when it comes to affecting NFL totals, although poor footing could lead to a low-scoring affair.
