Panthers vs. Saints ATS Prediction
After opening as a 7-point home favorite, the Saints are now laying 10 points against the Panthers in Sunday’s matchup at the Superdome. Is that too many points to lay in a divisional matchup or will New Orleans roll against the struggling Panthers?

Carolina Panthers Fantasy Spin
Christian McCaffrey rushed 14 times for 70 yards and caught 11-of-14 targets for 121 yards in the Panthers' 29-3, Week 11 loss to the Falcons. The Panthers were never in this game, and it shows just how matchup-proof McCaffrey is as a true every-down back that he was able to do so much damage with Carolina getting clocked on the scoreboard. McCaffrey was easily the best player on the field and the best path to yards for the Panthers. McCaffrey gets his first date of the year with the Saints next week at the Superdome.
New Orleans Saints Fantasy Spin
Drew Brees completed 28-of-35 passes for 228 yards and three touchdowns in New Orleans' Week 11 win over the Bucs. There's no doubt Brees could've done more had he needed to. The Saints opened with five consecutive scoring drives of 60, 69, 16, 52, and 75 yards to lead 27-10 heading into the fourth quarter. Brees connected with three different receivers on all three of his touchdowns, most impressively finding Jared Cook on a jump-ball over S Andrew Adams in the corner of the end zone to open the second quarter. An encouraging bounce-back after barely being able to breathe inside the pocket against the Falcons in Week 10, consider Brees a confident low-end QB1 back home in the Superdome against the Panthers in Week 12.
NFL Betting Trends
Carolina
The Panthers are 1-5 against the spread in their last six games played in November and are 2-5 against the number in their last seven games versus NFC opponents.
New Orleans
The Saints are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven conference games and are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games played in the month of November.
Prediction
The Kyle Allen shine has worn off for the Panthers, who really struggled a week ago. I think the wheels will come off today against a Saints team that won’t take another NFC South opponent lightly like they did two weeks ago when they played the Falcons at home. With Allen throwing four interceptions last week, his confidence appears to be down and all of a sudden, McCaffrey can’t carry the team by himself. While 10 points is a lot to lay in a divisional game, I’ll back Brees and Co. at home.
