Detroit Lions Fantasy Spin

Matthew Stafford (back) is out for Week 12 against the Redskins. It will be Stafford's third straight absence following a streak of 136 consecutive starts. The Lions have no plans to shut Stafford down, though the veteran hasn't made much progress since being diagnosed with back fractures earlier this month. Jeff Driskel will get the nod in Washington, where he'll be a viable streaming option against the Redskins' bottom-rung secondary.

Redskins interim coach Bill Callahan said he expects Adrian Peterson (toe) to play Week 12 against the Lions. Peterson sat out Wednesday and Thursday's practices with a toe injury, though it shouldn't keep him out against Detroit.
