Arizona Cardinals
Josh Rosen completed 9-of-20 passes for 136 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in the Cardinals' 23-21, Week 11 loss to the Raiders. If you were forced to start Rosen in a two-quarterback league in a week with six teams on bye you are not complaining, but he struggled mightily in this one. Both of Rosen's picks were terrible decisions into crowded areas, and he was consistently a beat or two slow with his decision making. Even a critical late completion to Christian Kirk to set up a touchdown should have been intercepted. Rosen's biggest play was a 59-yard screen score where Kirk did all the work. Having difficulty adjusting to NFL game speed with a thin supporting cast, Rosen will not be stuffing any stat sheets down the stretch. The Cardinals are headed on the road to Los Angeles to face the Chargers in Week 12.
Los Angeles Chargers
Philip Rivers completed 28-of-43 passes for 401 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions while losing four yards on his lone carry Sunday in the Chargers' Week 11 loss to the Broncos. He took three sacks for a loss of 17 yards. Sunday marked the veteran's first multi-interception game of the season. His first pick came on a pass intended for Tyrell Williams while Von Miller came up with the second and almost took it back for a pick-six. Rivers' touchdown throws went to Keenan Allen and veteran tight end Antonio Gates, who had his best game of the season by far with five catches for 80 yards on seven targets. The 37-year-old NC State product made an inexplicable mistake late in the fourth quarter by throwing the ball away on third down instead of taking a sack, which would have kept the clock running. The incompletion essentially gave the Broncos a free timeout and allowed them to drive down the field for a game-winning field goal in the closing seconds. The loss snapped a six-game winning streak for the Bolts. They'll try to get back in the win column next week against the Cardinals.
NFL Betting Trends
Arizona
The under is 7-1 in the Cardinals’ last eight games after accumulating more than 150 yards rushing in their previous game.
Los Angeles
The under is 6-1 in the Chargers’ last seven home games versus an opponent with a losing road record.
Prediction
The under is 4-0 in the Chargers’ last four games overall, is 6-2 in their last eight home games and is 8-3 in their last 11 games when facing an opponent with a losing record. They should shut down an Arizona offense that has struggled to find the end zone this season and one that is already on its second offensive coordinator this season. The Cardinals should also get the Bolts’ best effort after the Chargers suffered a letdown last Sunday in their loss to the Broncos.
NFL Week 12 Prediction: Cardinals/Chargers under 44.5
