Washington vs. Lions Week 10 Prediction
Three weeks ago the Lions pulled off a dramatic, improbable come-from-behind win over the Falcons in Atlanta. Since then, they haven’t won and are 0-2 against the spread during that span as well. Will that change on Sunday when Detroit is a 3-point home favorite versus visiting Washington at 1;00 p.m. ET?

Washington Football Team DFS Spin
Alex Smith completed 24-of-32 passes for 325 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions in Washington's 23-20, Week 9 loss to the Giants. Smith was forced into the game with one minute remaining in the first quarter after Kyle Allen suffered one of the most gruesome leg injuries we have seen all season. Allen has reportedly escaped with "just" a dislocated ankle and "small fracture," but it should be Smith under center for Washington the rest of the way. This franchise appears done with Dwayne Haskins. Unlike when he was forced into duty in Week 5, Smith appeared to still belong on an NFL football field, though he still doomed Washington with a pair of awful late interceptions. His third, game-sealing pick was thrown right to Giants CB Logan Ryan with 1:15 remaining. Smith's biggest play of the day was a 68-yard touchdown where Terry McLaurin broke some tackles. Smith has some weapons at his disposal, but especially at this stage of his career, he is an extremely conservative passer. He will nevertheless offer QB2 upside for the next three weeks, where Washington catches @DET, vs. CIN and @DAL, with that final game coming on Thanksgiving.
Detroit Lions DFS Spin
Matthew Stafford exited Week 9 against the Vikings in the fourth quarter to be evaluated for a concussion. Stafford was sacked early in the fourth frame and was crunched by two defenders, taking a leg to the head as he went down. The upstairs spotter signaled down for Stafford to be removed from the field. He initially went to the sideline tent but was then taken to the locker room. Before leaving, Stafford was 23-of-32 for 211 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. His touchdown was a 15-yard hookup with Marvin Jones. Stafford really missed Kenny Golladay's (hip) presence.
Washington vs. Lions Betting Prediction
The Lions are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five home games, are 1-7 against the number in their last eight games played in the month of November and are 0-8 at the betting window in their last eight games after accumulating more than 250 yards passing in their previous game. They’ve also dropped 25 of their last 34 games at the betting window after allowing more than 30 points in their previous contest and are 5-14 against the spread in their last 19 games overall. With how poorly the Lions have played over the past two weeks, it wouldn’t be surprising to see them lose outright but I’ll take the points and feel good about the game coming down to a field goal either way.
