Browns vs. Falcons Spread Prediction
While the Cleveland Browns are in yet another freefall season, the Atlanta Falcons have clawed back into the wild card playoff race with three straight wins. That said, are the Falcons laying too many points on the road today at 1:00 p.m. ET?
Game Snapshot
253 Atlanta Falcons at 254 Cleveland Browns
1:00 p.m. ET, Sunday, November 11
FirstEnergy Stadium, Cleveland, Ohio
Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Falcons are 6-point favorites to beat the Browns. The total, meanwhile, sits at 50.5 points. As of this writing, 72% of the public betting tickets are on the Falcons to cover the point spread.
Atlanta Falcons
Mohamed Sanu (hip) will play in Week 10 against the Browns. Sanu has followed the same practice cycle for weeks now — limited availability, cleared on Friday, work as the team's No. 2. Sanu is RotoPat's No. 36 wide receiver for Week 10.
Cleveland Browns
David Njoku (ribs, knee) is questionable for Week 10 against the Falcons. Njoku has been limited this week in practice, but there does not seem to be much concern about his availability. Adam Schefter tweeted on Sunday morning that Njoku is expected to play. He will be a name to watch on Sunday morning, but he should be good to go as a mid-range TE1 against the Falcons.
NFL Betting Trends
Atlanta
The Falcons are 3-8 against the spread in their last 11 road games and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games coming off a win.
Cleveland
The Browns are 7-19 against the spread in their last 26 home games and 14-36-1 ATS in their last 51 games overall.
Prediction
The Falcons are coming off their most dominating wins of the season last Sunday in D.C. I was on the Redskins, I wrote how I loved the pick, and it was apparent from the start that Atlanta was the better team with the better coaching staff. That said, the same reasons I took the Redskins a week ago still apply. The Falcons are a dome team that plays better in Atlanta than on the road and it’s expected to be a cold day in Cleveland today. The Falcons have a habit of playing games down to the wire, as evidence of their one-score games against the Eagles, Panthers, Saints, Bengals, Bucs and Giants already this season. Last week was an aberration that Atlanta blew an opponent out. The Browns are struggling on both sides of the ball but the Falcons are traveling on back-to-back weeks and remain the most banged-up defense in the NFL. I’m grabbing the points.
