New York Giants Fantasy Spin
Daniel Jones completed 26-of-41 passes for 210 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the Giants' 37-18, Week 9 loss to the Cowboys Monday night. Jones ended up leading the Giants with 54 rushing yards but lost two more fumbles, one of which was returned for a touchdown on the final offensive play of the game. The rookie took five sacks and has now fumbled 10 times this year with eight interceptions. Turnovers have been Jones' major downfall, and his late-second quarter pick set up a field goal to give Dallas a lead it would never look back from. Jones has flashed big-play ability, but he's making way too many mistakes and bad decisions. It's a growth period. Jones will catch an easier Week 10 draw against the Jets.
New York Jets Fantasy Spin
Le'Veon Bell (knee) said he will play Week 10 against the Giants. This was expected after coach Adam Gase said, "It looks good" when he was asked about Bell playing on Sunday. Despite the Jets' massive struggles on offense, Bell has managed to be the RB15 this season. Bell will be on the RB1/2 borderline in PPR leagues against the Giants.
NFL Betting Trends
NY Giants
The Giants are 9-2 against the spread in their last 11 road games but have failed to cover in four of their last five games overall.
NY Jets
The Jets are 2-8-1 against the spread in their last 11 games overall and are 6-21 ATS in their last 27 games played in the month of November.
Prediction
Following their loss to the previously winless Dolphins, the Jets are once again the laughingstock of the league (well, I guess the Bengals have an argument, too). That said, this is still the same team that upset the Cowboys less than a month ago and given the injury issues the Giants have on offense, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Jets win outright today. This is a goofy league, one capable of having a bad Jets team lose to the Dolphins one week, only to turn around and upend the Giants the following Sunday. And let’s face it, neither of these teams are any good. Would you be surprised by any outcome? Give me the home dog.
