Falcons vs. Browns Total Prediction
The Atlanta Falcons are coming off their most complete effort of the season in a dominating win over the Redskins. Will they also hang a bunch of points on the board when they visit the Cleveland Browns at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday?
Game Snapshot
253 Atlanta Falcons at 254 Cleveland Browns
1:00 p.m. ET, Sunday, November 11
FirstEnergy Stadium, Cleveland, Ohio
Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Falcons are 6-point favorites to beat the Browns. The total, meanwhile, sits at 50.5 points. As of this writing, 75% of the public betting tickets are on the Falcons to cover the point spread.
Atlanta Falcons
Bruce Irvin will play in Week 10 against the Browns. Coach Dan Quinn said he "hasn't put a cap on" how much Irvin will play in his first game with the Falcons. The Falcons' new toy notably played under Quinn in Seattle and should make noise on third downs immediately. Atlanta has generated the fifth-fewest sacks in the league so far this year.
Cleveland Browns
Browns CB Denzel Ward (hip) is questionable for Week 10 against the Falcons. Ward returned to a limited practice on Thursday and appears to be on track to play. With LB Joe Schobert (hamstring) also seemingly on track to play, the Browns defense will be a bit healthier this Sunday.
NFL Betting Trends
Atlanta
The over is 6-0-1 in the Falcons’ last seven games following a straight up win of more than 14 points.
Cleveland
The under is 7-1 in the Browns’ last eight games following a double-digit loss at home.
Prediction
I liked the under a week ago when the Falcons traveled to D.C. but I won’t make that same mistake again here. Atlanta struggled offensively in previous road games but Matt Ryan and Co. are firing on all cylinders and it doesn’t matter who the opponent is or what venue they’re playing in – they’re going to score. Meanwhile, the Browns allowed 37, 33, 26 and 38 points their last four games. They’re likely worn down from multiple overtime games this season and I’m banking on the Falcons drawing yet another opponent into a shootout.
NFL Week 10 Prediction: Falcons/Browns over 50.5
