Buffalo Bills Fantasy Spin
Devin Singletary rushed 20 times for 95 yards and one touchdown in the Redskins' Week 9 win over the Redskins, adding three receptions and 45 yards as a receiver. This breakout game should force the Bills into playing Singletary over Frank Gore for the rest of the season, as Singletary averaged 5.8 yards on 24 looks while Gore had 15 yards on 11 rush attempts. Singletary was able to shake defenders all game long and took a screen pass for a big gain when he had some open space. Gore was subbed in early in the game when the Bills were near the end zone, but Singletary punched in a short touchdown late. This will still likely be some sort of a two-back committee, but Singletary should now be projected for 1A work after being Gore's 1B for the first half of the season. Singletary will be an RB2 next week in Cleveland.
Cleveland Browns Fantasy Spin
Baker Mayfield said that he wants to "force feed him (Odell Beckham) early on to where he can make an impact before we can have the perfect look to have a shot play." Mayfield mentioned that double coverage has been an issue. Mayfield also noted his chemistry with Beckham is "continuing to improve." Overall, Beckham already has more games without at least eight targets (4) in 2019 than he did in any single season with the Giants from 2014-2018. His average of 8.3 targets per game is easily a career low, as Eli Manning and company fed OBJ at least double-digit targets in every season from 2014-2018.
NFL Betting Trends
Buffalo
The under is 4-0 in the Bills’ last four games after allowing less than 250 total yards in their previous game.
Cleveland
The under is 5-2 in the Browns’ last seven games after accumulating more than 250 yards passing in their previous game.
Prediction
Both of these teams should run the crap out of the ball on Sunday, which should lead to a constantly running clock and limited possessions. The Bills rank as one of the worst run defenses in the league, as evidence in their loss two weeks ago to the Eagles, who ran straight down Buffalo’s throats all afternoon. The Browns have a talented back in Nick Chubb, they just don’t use him as much as they should because they have to showcase Baker Mayfield, apparently. The Bills, meanwhile, are a run-first offense and should be with Josh Allen under center. The under is 6-2 in the Bills’ last eight games overall, is 16-5 in their last 21 road contests and has cashed in 16 of the Browns’ last 24 home games (with one push).
