Public Betting Trends

According to oddsmakers at BetNow.eu, the Seahawks are a slim favorite at home, as they are getting odds of -1 point against the Chargers. The over/under total for the contest is currently listed at 48 points. The public betting for this game currently is split right down the middle, 50-50. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our NFL Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.

Seahawks win two straight

The Seahawks are coming off a 28-14 win at Detroit for their second straight win and fourth win in five games. Seattle has improved to 4-3 on the season, 4-2-1 against the spread and 5-2 with the under. Seattle has covered the spread in three straight games.

Seattle is proving to be pretty stout on defense this season, as the Seahawks are giving up just 18.7 points and 344 yards per game. Offensively, the Seahawks are putting up 24.4 points and 357 yards per game. Russell Wilson isn’t putting up major numbers, but doing a good job of managing the games. Wilson has thrown for 1,556 yards and 16 touchdowns with just four interceptions. He is completing 66 percent of his passes. Chris Carson has rushed for 457 yards and two touchdowns while Tyler Lockett has 25 catches for 394 yards and six touchdowns.

Chargers on fire

The Chargers are coming off a bye following a 20-19 win over the Titans in London two weeks ago. Los Angeles has won four straight to move to 5-2 on the season. The Chargers are also 3-4 against the spread and 5-2 with the over.

Los Angeles is putting up 27.9 points and 412.4 yards per game on offense this year behind a great passing attack. Philip Rivers is having an MVP-type year, throwing for 2,008 yards and 17 touchdowns with only three interceptions. Melvin Gordon has rushed for 466 yards and six touchdowns while catching 30 passes for 279 yards and three scores. Defensively, the Chargers are allowing 23.3 points and 377.3 yards per game. They are still awaiting for Joey Bosa to join the unit. He is doubtful to debut today due to his foot injury, but getting closer to the field.

NFL Betting Trends

Seattle

The Seahawks are 1-3-1 against the spread in their last five games in November and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games after allowing less than 15 points in their previous game.

Los Angeles

The Chargers have covered the spread in four straight games in November and in six of their last eight games following a failed cover.

Prediction:

Seattle looked great last week, but the Seahawks were coming off a bye and faced an unproven Detroit team. I don’t see that same Seattle team taking the field today. The Seahawks still have a lot of questions on offense. Wilson had a very efficient game last week, but it’s hard to expect that today. Los Angeles is a much more productive offense that should pose a lot of challenges for Seattle. The Chargers have been overlooked a lot this year and I think they go on the road and pick up a big win today.

NFL Prediction: Los Angeles Chargers +1
