Browns vs. Patriots Total Prediction
Baker Mayfield and the Browns head to Foxborough this Sunday to take on Tom Brady and the Patriots, who remain one of the two unbeaten teams in the NFL. Will the Pats play in yet another low-scoring game or is the over the best play on Sunday?

Cleveland Browns Fantasy Spin
Browns CBs Denzel Ward (hamstring) and Greedy Williams (hamstring) are practicing in full for Week 8 against the Patriots. Neither of the Browns' top two corners have played since Week 2. The Browns' secondary actually held up admirably well during their four-game absence, but their return will be a huge boost against a Patriots passing attack that has never quite achieved liftoff this season. Any chance the Browns have at pulling off the road upset will begin with their defense.
New England Patriots Fantasy Spin
Patriots acquired WR Mohamed Sanu from the Falcons in exchange for a 2020 second-round pick. New England reportedly offered a second-round pick for Sanu before the draft and the Falcons turned them down. Now 1-6 and projected to be $8.7 million over the 2020 salary cap, Atlanta had no choice but to begin shedding weight. Sanu's departure is the first domino to fall and clears around $3.7 million from Atlanta's books this year (and $10.2 million in all). The versatile slot wideout is expected to be active against Cleveland in Week 8 but likely won't be fully integrated into New England's offense until their Week 10 bye. Expect more roster news to follow as this acquisition puts the Patriots $1.2 million over the cap this season. Russell Gage will take over for Sanu in Atlanta moving forward, while either Phillip Dorsett or Josh Gordon (pending the severity of his ankle injury) are now on the outside looking in with the Patriots.
NFL Betting Trends
Cleveland
The under is 6-1 in the Browns’ last seven games after accumulating more than 150 yards rushing in their previous game.
New England
The under is a perfect 7-0 in the Patriots’ last seven games after accumulating less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game.
Prediction
The over has cashed in four of the last five meetings between these two teams but I don’t see how the Browns move the ball against the best defense in the league. The under is 6-2 in the Patriots’ last eight games overall, is 19-7 in their last 26 games versus a team with a losing record and is 5-2 in their last seven games following a win. Meanwhile, the under is 20-8 in the Browns’ last 28 games after allowing more than 30 points in their previous game.
NFL Week 8 Prediction: Browns/Patriots UNDER 44.5
