Which NFL teams buried public bettors on Sunday? Here are three that didn't do public backers any favors with their performances.

1. Carolina Panthers

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Panthers were only 3-point road favorites versus the Bears on Sunday. The line looked too good to be turn and as it turns out, it was too good to be true. At kickoff, 77% of public bettors were backing Carolina, which was by far the most lopsided game on Sunday. But the Bears scored two defensive touchdowns in the first half in route to a 17-3 victory as a home dog. Neither team scored in the second half as both Cam Newton and Mitch Trubisky had awful days.

2. Tennessee Titans

The Titans weren't as big as a public favorite as the Panthers were, but they still killed bettors nonetheless. Favored by either 6 or 5.5 depending on which sports book you used, the Titans should have hammered the winless Browns in Cleveland. Instead, Tennessee couldn't get anything going offensively and wound up settling for four field goals on the afternoon. While the Titans escaped Cleveland with a 12-9 victory, they didn't come close to covering as a road favorite. At kickoff, 64% of public bettors laid the points with Tennessee.

3. Denver Broncos

The Broncos were coming off an ugly home loss to the Giants last week in primetime but that didn't matter to bettors. Denver received 63% of tickets in its game on Sunday versus the Chargers, then was promptly shutout 21-0 in an embarrassing effort. Bettors loved the fact that they only had to lay a single point in this AFC West matchup, but the Broncos didn't move the ball all game. With their victory on Sunday, the Chargers have now won three games in a row.
