Cowboys vs. Jets Week 6 Prediction
Sam Darnold will make his return for the Jets on Sunday when they host the suddenly reeling Cowboys at 4:25 p.m. ET. Is seven points enough for bettors to back the winless Jets or will the ‘Boys rebound?

Dallas Cowboys Fantasy Spin
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he's "optimistic" both Tyron Smith (ankle) and La'el Collins (knee) return for Week 6 against the Jets. "Tyron is looking promising," Jones said in his weekly interview with 105.3 The FAN. "We’ll see how this week goes, and of course, that’s huge. And La’el has a chance. He is tough. He’s going to be hard to keep out of there." Smith's initial diagnosis showed a light ankle sprain, so it's no surprise if he's back in two weeks rather than the alotted 4-6. The Cowboys struggled mightily against the Packers for a variety of reasons and Smith's return would at the very least spell their current pass-pro woes.
New York Jets Fantasy Spin
Sam Darnold will start in Week 6 against the Cowboys. Darnold's first-team reps won't be all for naught this week as he was officially cleared by doctors. The Jets have been nothing short of disastrous without the 22-year-old under center, only ending their 39 scoreless-possessions streak once the Eagles muffed a punt return and fumbled inside their own 20 on Sunday. New York's 3.8 YPA in Luke Falk's three starts unsurprisingly ranked stone last by a full yard. Jury's out on Darnold's physical limitations in his first game back from mono, but he at the very least instills life (and hope) into Robby Anderson's and Jamison Crowder's fantasy outlooks moving forward. Consider Darnold himself a middle-of-the-road QB2 in this matchup against the Cowboys.
NFL Betting Trends
Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games versus an opponent with a losing record.
New York Jets
The Jets are 0-6-1 against the spread in their last seven home games and are 1-5-1 against the spread in their last seven games overall.
Prediction
Darnold won’t safe the Jets’ horrendous offense, especially since he hasn’t played in nearly a month. This is a good rebound spot for a Cowboys team that will benefit from playing a bad opponent like it the first three weeks of the season. They were shut down by the Saints and struggled last week against the Packers but they scored 35, 31 and 31 points respectively against crap teams like the Giants, Redskins and Dolphins. Plus, if Smith and Collins are indeed back, then there’s no reason for Dak Prescott not to put together a great outing and for the Cowboys to roll.
