Chiefs vs. Patriots Total Prediction
Oddsmakers can’t set the totals high enough in Kansas City Chiefs games. On Sunday night, the total for the Chiefs’ game with the New England Patriots is sitting at 59.5 points. Is that too high or will these two teams get over that threshold?

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Patriots are 3.5-point favorites to beat the Chiefs. The total, meanwhile, sits at 59.5 points. As of this writing, 55% of the public betting tickets are on the Rams to cover the point spread.
Kansas City Chiefs
Justin Houston (hamstring) did not practice Thursday. It is his second missed practice in a row. He looks on track to sit. With Eric Berry (heel) also likely to miss, the Chiefs' defense will likely struggle in New England on Sunday night.
New England Patriots
Josh Gordon (hamstring) remained "limited" on Thursday. The Pats have yet to list Gordon as "full." With Chris Hogan (thigh) suddenly looking doubtful, perhaps Gordon can finally break through for a bigger snap and target share against the Chiefs' burnable defense.
NFL Betting Trends

New England

Prediction
I realize the Chiefs can score 40 points in any given week but the totals for their games are getting out of hand. Nearly 60 points? For a NFL game in prime time? Bill Belichick will throw something at Patrick Mahomes that the youngster hasn’t seen and keep the Chiefs off their game for at least quarter. I don’t doubt these two teams can get into the low 50s in terms of the combined score but there’s too much value in the under here.
