NFL Week 5 Injury Report

NFL Week 5 Injury Report: Fournette out, Freeman returning 10/7/18

There’s plenty of teams dealing with some big injuries heading into Week 5 of the NFL season. Here’s a look at the latest Injury Report for the key players on Sunday.

Fournette out again

After returning last week from his hamstring injury, the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Leonard Fournette is back to being out due to the injury for Sunday’s game at the Kansas City Chiefs. According to oddsmakers at BetNow.eu, the Chiefs are listed as a 3-point favorite at home against the Jags. Fournette hasn’t been able to get established all year, rushing for just 71 yards on 20 carries after injuring the hamstring in Week 1. T.J. Yeldon will see the primary action again for the Jags against a questionable KC defense. Yeldon has 205 rushing yards and 125 receiving yards.

Freeman to return

The Atlanta Falcons get their primary running back back today, as Devonta Freeman returns from his knee injury after missing the last three games. The Atlanta Falcons are on the road to face the Pittsburgh Steelers today at 1PM ET. Oddsmakers are listing the Steelers as a 3-point favorite at home in a game of two 1-win teams. Freeman has just 6 carries this season, rushing for 36 yards. He is coming off his least-productive season since he was a rookie, so he should be eager to produce today against the Steelers.

Packers receivers banged-up

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers could be without some key skill players today as their top three receivers are on the injury report. Randall Cobb is definitely out with a hamstring injury while Davante Adams (calf) and Geronimo Allison (concussion, hamstring) are game-time decisions. Adams is expected to play, but Allison is not a sure thing. The three have combined for 64 receptions, 768 yards and six touchdowns this year. Green Bay is on the road today to face the Detroit Lions at 1PM ET. Oddsmakers are listing the Lions as a 1-point favorite at home.
