New England Patriots Fantasy Spin
Josh Gordon (knee) was limited at practice Wednesday. It's not uncommon for the Patriots to list everyone as 'limited' throughout the week, but Gordon wasn't a part of that scroll prior to Sunday's game against Buffalo. He'll likely get slapped with a designation then play in Week 5. Gordon should only garner concern if tea leaves start pointing to him truly being limited — as they did with Rex Burkhead last week — against the Redskins.
Washington Redskins Fantasy Spin
Terry McLaurin (hamstring) was limited at practice Wednesday. McLaurin's outlook was optimistic heading into Sunday but the rookie was ultimately scratched as a precautionary move. He said his injured hamstring has made "a lot of progress" in that time. Even if he's a full go, McLaurin's matchup against the Patriots (with Colt McCoy under center) is a disastrous one. His performance would truly have to be phenomenal to finish as a WR3 in Week 5.
NFL Betting Trends
New England
The under is 8-0 in the Patriots’ last eight road games versus a team with a losing home record.
Washington
The under is 8-2 in the Redskins’ last 10 games after allowing more than 150 yards rushing in their previous game.
Prediction
With the way the Patriots have played defensively, I won’t take the over in their games. That’s not to say that Tom Brady and Co. can’t light up the scoreboard and cash the over themselves, but I just don’t see the Redskins pulling their weight to take the over. The under is 4-1 in the Pats’ last five games overall and is 4-1 in their last five road games. On the other side, the under is 9-1 in the Redskins’ last 10 games played in Week 5 and is 10-4 in their last 14 games after accumulating less than 90 yards rushing int their previous game.
NFL Week 5 Prediction: Patriots/Redskins UNDER 42.5
