Houston Texans Fantasy Spin
Texans LT Laremy Tunsil (ankle) is questionable for the team's Week 3 matchup against the Chargers, but is expected to play. Tunsil practiced all week and will reportedly suit up Sunday. It's great news against Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram. Still, Deshaun Watson's tendency to hold the ball in an effort to make big plays will likely continue to expose him to big hits independent of the performance of the Texans' offensive line.
Los Angeles Chargers Fantasy Spin
Keenan Allen (knee) wasn't listed on the Chargers' final injury report. Allen will suit up Sunday against the Texans. He's locked in as a high-end WR1 and has demanded one of the league's largest target shares through two weeks. A healthier version of Mike Williams figures to demand plenty of fantasy-friendly red-zone looks, but fire up Allen as a high-end WR1 in fantasy formats of all shapes and sizes.
NFL Betting Trends
Houston
The Texans are 3-8 against the spread in their last 11 games played in the third week of a season.
Los Angeles
The Chargers are 1-4-1 against the spread in their last six home games and 0-3-1 ATS in their last four games played in the month of September.
Prediction
The Texans are winless against the number in their last six games versus the Chargers and if Tunsil doesn’t play, Deshaun Watson will be running for his life again this week. L.A. looked horrible last Sunday in Detroit but the Chargers also had back-to-back touchdowns called back due to penalties so they could easily be 2-0 right now. Granted, the Bolts are also dealing with injuries to both sides of the ball but they should win in the trenches and cover the field goal.
