New Orleans Saints Fantasy Spin

Coach Sean Payton refused to name Teddy Bridgewater as the Saints' Week 3 starter against the Seahawks. When asked if he has to limit Taysom Hill's usage in other positions now that he's the No. 2 quarterback, Payton responded, "You're assuming he's the No. 2." Payton said he won't make an announcement to the media as to who will start in Seattle. The assumption has been Bridgewater will get the nod, but his leash likely isn't very long after his dreadful showing against the Rams in relief of Brees. Hill also outplayed Bridgewater in the preseason and is overall a far superior playmaker.

Seattle Seahawks Fantasy Spin

Russell Wilson completed 29-of-35 passes for 300 yards and three touchdowns in the Seahawks' 28-26, Week 2 win over the Steelers. He added 22 rushing yards. Wilson's first two scores went to TE Will Dissly from 14 and 12 yards out. He was obviously catching Wilson's eye in the red zone after Wilson mainly worked his way down the field with Tyler Lockett, though Lockett was totally unable to break any big plays. Wilson's third and final score, the game-winner, was a 28-yard hookup with DK Metcalf out of the slot. Metcalf was manhandling defenders all afternoon. Wilson will be back on the QB1 map next week at home against the Saints.

NFL Betting Trends

New Orleans

The under is 4-0 in the Saints’ last four road games and is 8-1 in their last nine conference matchups.

Seattle

The over is 7-1 in the Seahawks’ last eight conference games and has cashed in five of their last six games overall.

Prediction

Bridgewater could struggle again this Sunday in Seattle, which is usually a horrendous environment for opposing quarterbacks to succeed. The Seahawks are a run-heavy team that likes to play ball-control and that tends to lead to low-scoring games in Seattle. The under is 4-1 in their last five games played in September and is 8-3 in the Saints’ last 11 games overall.

NFL Week 3 Prediction: Saints/Seahawks UNDER 44.5
