There is an expectation for this game to have a lot of passing, so the cornerbacks could be busy making tackles. Oddsmakers have the matchup between Atlanta’s Brian Poole and New England’s Malcom Butler set as even, with neither player getting an edge in tackles. Poole had 59 tackles during the regular season and 11 in the playoffs. He had 7 in the NFC Championship, another pass-happy game. Butler had 63 tackles this season and 9 in the playoffs. The most he had during the season was 9, which was against the Seahawks. New England hasn’t faced an offense of this caliber all season, so Butler’s tackling load could greatly increase.
