Rams Todd Gurley Super Bowl 53 Props, 1/30/19 Predictions & Odds

Todd Gurley finished with just four rushing attempts and one reception in the Rams’ win over the Saints in the NFC Championship Game. Considering he isn’t 100-percent healthy, what are the best Gurley-related prop bets for Super Bowl 53?

Public Betting Trends

According to oddsmakers from online sports book, the Patriots are 2.5-point favorites to beat the Rams. The total, meanwhile, sits at 56.5 points. As of this writing, 78% of the public betting tickets are on the Patriots to cover the point spread.

Player Snapshot

Gurley was once again an integral part of Sean McVay’s offense, rushing 256 times for 1,251 yards with 17 touchdowns. He also saw 81 targets in the passing game, catching 59 passes for 580 yards and an additional four scores. While a knee injury kept him out of the team’s final two regular-season games, Gurley returned to action in the Divisional round, rushing 16 times for 115 yards and one touchdown. He was held to just four carries for 10 yards and a touchdown against the Saints, however, leading many to believe that the knee is still bothering him.

Todd Gurley Super Bowl Prop Predictions

Gurley averaged 18.29 rushing attempts, 89.36 yards and 1.21 rushing touchdowns per game during the regular season. He also averaged 4.21 receptions, 41.43 receiving yards and 0.29 receiving touchdowns this year.

Total Rushing Yards: 65.5

Total Rushing Yards on First Attempt: 3.5

Longest Rush from Scrimmage: 19.5

Total Rushing Attempts: 13.5

Total Receptions: 3.5

Total Receiving Yards: 32.5

Longest Reception: 13.5

Will he Score a FIRST HALF Touchdown: Yes 37/20; No 10/23

Gurley said his performance during the NFC title game was “sorry” and that’s why C.J. Anderson wound up playing the bulk of the snaps against the Saints. Nobody is buying it, however, and chances are Gurley is dealing with a more serious injury than he and the Rams are letting on. That’s why I’m taking the under in rush attempts, rushing yards, receptions and receiving yards. Chances are he’ll be on a pitch count, used only in key situations when the Rams need a potential big play. If I’m wrong, he’ll blow these figures out of the water. If I’m right, these will be some of the easier prop bets to cash on Super Bowl Sunday.

Todd Gurley Total Rushing Yards: Under 65.5

Todd Gurley Total Rushing Attempts: Under 13.5

Todd Gurley Total Receptions: Under 3.5

Todd Gurley Total Receiving Yards: Under 32.5
