Ravens vs. Browns Week 17 Prediction

Ravens vs. Browns, 1/3/21 NFL Week 17 Betting Predictions

With a loss by either the Browns or Colts, or a win over the Bengals on Sunday, the Ravens will clinch a playoff berth and head back to the postseason for the third time since Lamar Jackson became their starting quarterback. Will Baltimore also cover the large spread today in Cincinnati or are the Bengals the better ATS play in Week 17?

Baltimore Ravens DFS Spin

Lamar Jackson completed 17-of-26 passes for 186 yards and two touchdowns in the Ravens' 27-13 Week 16 win against the Giants, adding 12 rushes for 81 yards. It was yet another double-digit rushing attempt performance from Jackson, who had a few potentially long runs stopped by shoestring tackles. Jackson again found Marquise Brown and Dez Bryant for touchdowns against a vulnerable Giants secondary. The Ravens moved the ball at will against the zone-heavy Giants, who refused to switch to man defense even as Baltimore had chunk play after chunk play. Jackson gets another favorable matchup in Week 17 against the Bengals.

Cincinnati Bengals DFS Spin

Brandon Allen completed 29-of-37 passes for 371 yards and two touchdowns in the Bengals' Week 16 win over the Texans. The Bengals waited until late in the week to name Allen the starter. He responded with his best game as a pro, throwing for a career high in yards and hitting Tee Higgins and Drew Sample for a pair of touchdowns. The Texans' secondary gave up chunk plays all game, with Higgins, A.J. Green, and Alex Erickson all catching passes over 30 yards. Allen struggled in his previous three starts, so this was a needed step forward. The Bengals will close out the regular season against the Ravens in Week 17.

Ravens vs. Bengals Betting Prediction

The Ravens are a perfect 5-0 against the spread in their last five games overall, are 4-0 against the number in their last four games as a favorite and have covered in seven of their last eight divisional games. Baltimore is also 9-3 against the spread in its last 12 road games, is 14-5 against the number in its last 19 conference matchups and has covered in four of its last five games after allowing less than 90 yards rushing in its previous contest.

The Bengals, meanwhile, are just 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games coming off a win, are 1-5 against the number in their last six games after accumulating more than 150 yards rushing in their previous game and are 1-6-1 at the betting window in their last eight games played in the month of January.
