Colorado vs. Washington St. Total Pick

College Football Picks: Total too high for Colorado, Washington State?

Can No. 15 Washington State get back on track on offense when it takes on Colorado this Saturday at 10:45PM ET on ESPN?

According to oddsmakers at, Washington State is favored at home, as the Cougars are getting odds of -10 points against Colorado. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 53.5 points. The home team has won the last two meetings in this series, and the two have split the over/under total in their last six meetings. The public is currently putting 79 percent of the wagers on Washington State at home. Saturday’s game takes place from Martin Stadium in Pullman, Washington and will air live on ESPN.

Colorado is coming off a 36-33 win at Oregon State last week to move to 4-3 on the season. The Buffaloes are 1-3 in conference play and 4-3 with the under. Colorado has a defense that is allowing just 24.1 points and 424.3 yards per contest. On offense, Colorado is putting up 29.4 points and 432.1 yards per contest. Phillip Lindsay is leading the team with 995 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns while Steven Montez has thrown for 1,691 yards and 12 touchdowns. Bryce Bobo has 40 receptions for 432 yards and five touchdowns.

Washington State is coming off a 37-3 loss at Cal last week. The Cougars are 6-1 on the season and 3-1 in the Pac-12 while going 5-2 with the under. Washington State has been typically good on offense, averaging 34.4 points and 455 yards per game this year. However, last week the Cougars committed seven turnovers. Luke Falk has thrown for 2,286 yards and 19 touchdowns with seven interceptions while Tavares Martin Jr. has 37 receptions for 502 yards and seven scores. Jamal Morrow is the leading rusher with 339 yards and two scores. The Washington State defense is allowing just 21.1 points and 288.3 yards per game.

Bet on Colorado vs. Washington State

Washington State gave up a lot of points last week, but the turnovers played a big role in that. I expect the Cougars to return to form this weekend against Colorado. Washington State is 5-0-1 with the under in its last six after a loss while Colorado has hit the under in 13 of its last 18 conference games and in six of their last seven against winning teams.
