Cincinnati Reds Fantasy Spin
Raisel Iglesias took his eighth loss after giving up a homer in the 10th Tuesday against the Cubs. Iglesias got two outs in a tie game in the ninth and then retired Victor Caratini to open the 10th, but Kyle Schwarber's homer ended the game afterwards. Iglesias came into this one with three saves and five scoreless innings in July. He's still blown just two saves in 19 chances this year.
Chicago Cubs Fantasy Spin
Kyle Schwarber hit a walkoff homer off Raisel Iglesias in the 10th to give the Cubs a 4-3 win over the Reds on Tuesday. It was the first career walkoff and 21st homer of the season for Schwarber. He hasn't had a lot else to offer offensively, and his defense has regressed after the surprising improvement of 2019. Still, he should remain in the lineup against righties the rest of the way before the Cubs reevaluate things this winter.
MLB Betting Trends
Cincinnati
The Reds are 2-5 in their last seven games overall and are just 2-7 in their last nine road games.
Chicago
The Cubs have won four out of their last five games and are 5-1 in their last six games against the rest of the National League Central.
Prediction:
The under is now 4-1 in the last five meetings between these two teams and I see that trend improving after today’s game. The under is 7-3 in the Cubs’ last 10 games at Wrigley Field and is 4-1-1 in Darvish’s last six starts overall. The under is also 6-2 in Gray’s last eight road outings and is 6-2-1 in his last nine starts overall.
The Pick: Reds/Cubs UNDER 9 (-120)
