Cincinnati Reds Fantasy Spin

Jose Peraza drove in the tying run with an RBI single in the ninth inning of the Reds' extra-innings loss to the Mets. The Reds mounted a two-out rally against Jeurys Familia, with Peralta capping it off by plating the tying run. He also walked and stole a base earlier in the game. The second baseman seems to be coming around after a painfully slow start, reaching base eight times across his last five games. He's also batted leadoff each of the last two nights.

New York Mets Fantasy Spin

Jeff McNeil went 4-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored in the Mets' extra-innings win over the Reds on Tuesday. McNeil plated the first run of the game with a drag bunt up the first base line in the third inning. He added two more singles and a double in the big night. The counting stats haven't really been there for McNeil, but he's sporting a blistering .370/.457/.500 batting line and appears like he might have settled in as the Mets' leadoff hitter.

MLB Betting Trends

Cincinnati

The Reds are 2-7 in Anthony DeSclafani’s last nine starts.

New York

The Mets are 1-4 in Jacob deGrom’s last five home starts.

Prediction:

deGrom allowed five runs over four innings against the Brewers in his last start, which ballooned his ERA to 9.69 over his last three starts (he owns a 4.85 ERA for the year). DeSclafani, meanwhile, turned in a gem against a hot-hitting Cardinals team to earn a win in St. Louis last Friday. After struggling earlier this in the year, he has turned in some decent starts of late and with deGrom in poor form, I’m rolling the dice on the underdog.

The Pick: Cincinnati Reds +180
