The Detroit Pistons are in an offensive funk that has seen them average 92.9 points during a seven-game slide, including two straight losses in which they failed to reach 85 points. The Pistons will try to snap the slide on the road when they visit the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday.
Detroit was run over 103-84 at home by the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday while playing what coach Stan Van Gundy called "extremely bad basketball," and the players are searching for answers for the offensive funk.
The Pistons could be in for a welcome respite from tough defenses against the Hawks, who allow an average of 109.3 points and surrendered at least 110 in each of their last five games - four losses. Atlanta had the misfortune of running into the red-hot Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday and gave up 20 3-pointers while dropping a 123-114 decision.
Pistons are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up loss of more than 10 points and are 12-5-1 ATS in their last 18 road games.

I'll take my chances here with Brooklyn at basically a pick'em at home on Thursday in their showdown against the Knicks. The Nets have quietly been one of the most improved teams in the league. They are 11-15 through their first 26 games after going just 20-62 a year ago. They have been an excellent team to back, as they are 17-9 ATS on the season with an 11-2 ATS mark over their last 13.
They come in off a 103-98 win at home over the Wizards as a 3-point dog and have won 3 of their last 4. They did lose 86-107 on the road to the Knicks earlier this season, but I think that only adds value here, as we can count on a big time effort here from Brooklyn with revenge on their minds. As for New York, they are also playing better than expected early, but almost all of their success has come at home. The Knicks are 13-5 at home compared to a mere 1-8 on the road. They are also just 2-7 ATS away from home, where they are losing by an average of nearly 12 points/game. Give me the Nets -1!

Let's back The New York Knicks on the road vs the Brooklyn Nets tonight. New York is looking for their third straight win after beating the Lakers in OT 113-109 in the Garden.
We are getting some line value here as well as Brooklyn won for the third time in four games beating the Wizards 103-98 at home Tuesday.
The Knicks beat the Nets earlier this season 107-86 at home on October 27.
