Philadelphia beat the Giants to muscle into the playoffs without its Pro Bowl tight end and its three main wide receivers, plus its primary two running backs and starting right tackle. Afterward, G Brandon Brooks (shoulder) was ruled out for the season. Seattle has been battered by injuries, too, but nowhere to the degree of the Eagles. The Seahawks went 5-0 straight-up in the Eastern time zone, including once in Philly, and will be bent on flushing Sunday’s stunning loss to San Francisco from their system.

Minnesota's offense hasn't looked the same lately, while the Saints' attack has hit its stride. It's simply hard to trust Kirk Cousins in this pressure-packed game against a defense that finds ways to harass quarterbacks. Lay the points.

I love Seattle. Russell Wilson played well last week, almost pulled them through. He'll have a great game against that Philly secondary. Marshawn Lynch has a game under his belt and the rookie Travis Homer played well. He's got a lot of speed. The Seahawks are better on the road anyway. The Eagles are so banged up and could be missing the right side of their offensive line. Philly was tied with the Giants entering the fourth quarter, and the GIants' defense is lousy. Carson Wentz didn't play that great. Philly was lucky to be in a terrible division, but this team is just too beat-up right now.

This game will come down to Russell Wilson, who is 4-0 all-time against the Philadelphia, and Carson Wentz, who is 0-3 all-time against Seattle. The Eagles come into this game banged up at key positions. Meanwhile the Seahawks' addition of Marshawn Lynch is only going to take pressure of Wilson and help the running game. Seattle has played well on the road, winning seven of eight, and is 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings and 4-0 ATS in Philly. Although the Eagles are dangerous at home, this is Wilson's time. Seattle money line (-129) is the play.

It's Kirk Cousins on the road in a playoff game, and not just any road playoff game, but one in New Orleans. So why in the hell would I take the Vikings? Well, terrifying as it might be, this spread is too large. No other reason than that, honestly. The Vikings have looked bad the last couple of weeks without Dalvin Cook, but he'll be back for this game, and Adam Thielen could be ready to be more than just a decoy. The Saints will win, but the Vikings will cover.

The Eagles are incredibly banged up and have been an average team for most of the season. The Seahawks are 11-5, but guess what? They're just as banged up as the Eagles, and their 11-5 record isn't nearly as good as it might suggest. In fact, the Eagles have a better point differential on the season than Seattle does. The wrong team is favored, I don't care what Philly's win-loss record is. It's the same team as Seattle.

The Saints' offense is on its best roll of the season, scoring at least 34 points in six of the last seven games. New Orleans won six of those contests, including each of the last three, and five went Over the total. The Vikings have gone Over in six of their last eight games and should be able to contribute enough to get this one Over as well.

Yes, the Eagles enter the playoffs about as injured as a team can be that still has its starting QB. The Seahawks also have the massive strength of schedule advantage, which isn't a trend I typically like to fade. But these Eagles prove year in and year out how resilient they are at this time of the year, as they're 5-0 ATS as playoff underdogs over the last two years. Home underdogs are 16-7-1 ATS in the wild-card round all-time, and I think the formula is there to exploit a Seahawks team that's not as good as its record. This should be a close game, but I like Doug Pederson to make the right game decisions and squeak out a win.

The Saints are the better team, but this is too many points to give a quality Minnesota squad that has lost by more than seven on the road just once all year. The Vikings are comparable to the Saints in yards per play, net yards per pass attempt on offense and defense and in other key metrics, and while the Saints have looked dominant lately against mediocre teams, their defense has looked mediocre against good teams like the Titans and 49ers over the second half as well. The Vikings can ride their second-ranked red zone defense to a closer game than people expect, while the Minnesota offense is also capable of covering through the back door if needed.

With that we recommend a strong 4* play on Philadelphia. Thank you and good luck as always.

It will be an upset if F Isaiah Livers (groin), Michigan’s No. 2 scorer, answers the bell. An uncanny three-point shooter, hitting about 50 percent, he would be sorely missed offensively. Look for dogged PGs Cassius Winston (Michigan State) and Xavier Simpson to disrupt each other. One team could reach the 70s but not both.

It is hardly surprising that New Orleans should score in bunches. QB Drew Brees has rarely been better, with 22 touchdown throws and just one interception in a seven-game stretch when the Saints have averaged 36.3 points a game. He attacks a secondary down two cornerbacks. Yet Minnesota can keep pace to a degree. Running back Dalvin Cook returns from an injury hiatus. QB Kirk Cousins has performed admirably on the road. The Saints’ secondary has been shaky with two starters out. Minnesota has gone Over in five away games in succession. New Orleans has done the same in six of the past eight home playoff dates. Over is the play.

The Saints have been rolling and are 7 1/2 pt picks over the Vikings who stumbled in their last 2 games after backing into the 6 seed when the Rams were eliminated by the 49’ers.
Minnesota has only 1 loss by more than 7 pts all season and should have Dalvin Cook and Adam Theilen back. The Saints have been almost unstoppable and the ultimate question remains about QB Kirk Cousins in big games.
This could be close, but somehow I think Sean Peyton and Drew Brees will have the pedal to the metal. Laying the pts with New Orleans
Finally at 4:40pm on NBC, 2 banged up teams meet for a rematch of a week 12 game when Seattle beat the Eagles 17-9.

The Seahawks almost pulled out a home win vs San Francisco despite losing 3 of its running backs and bringing back Marshawn Lynch to go with Miami rookie Travis Homer.
The Eagles are a mash unit on offense, but the defense has played well – especially at home. No one is playing better than Carson Wentz down the stretch of the last 4 must-win games, despite this technically being his first ever playoff start.
4 turnovers doomed Philly on Nov 24th where they were able to sack Russell Wilson a season high 6 times, but got gashed by now injured RB Rashad Penny.
Will Wilson continue to be a road killer at 7-1 and 5-0 all time against the Eagles? I’m feeling a hot Eagles team getting the win as a 1 1/2 pt home underdog

Seattle went into Philly a couple of months ago and beat the Eagles, 17-9. The Eagles owned a -3 turnover margin in that game. It is highly unlikely they produce another dud like that at home here in the playoffs. The Eagles perform very well with a chip on their shoulder under Doug Pederson. They love the underdog role, and they will rally behind it today.

The Eagles are 6-4 SU at home when not the favorite under Pederson. On the other side, Seattle under Pete Carroll is just 2-5 in road playoff games. Those two Seattle wins were game in which they were favored by at least a field goal.

The clincher for me is how these two teams performed in the red zone (TD only) this season. The Eagles own the NFL's #3 red-zone offense and the #15 red-zone defense. Seattle ranks #9 in red-zone offense and #26 in red-zone defense.

Vikings +8 over Saints
Vikings/Saints Over 50
For the first time this year we have a Minnesota Offense that is fully healthy. The system the Vikings use can beat the Saints Defense. Kirk Cousin can roll out and find his targets. Adam Thielen back will stretch this field and of course the running game makes this a very balanced offense. The Saints have been hobbled in the secondary the past few weeks and I believe Minnesota is going to put up a good amount of points today. We have seen teams come in here and do just that this year. San Francisco comes to mind and they run the same type of offense Minnesota does. The Saints will also put up points in their own building. Drew Brees gets the ball out of his hands quickly and Kamara gives them the balance in the running game. There are a lot of weapons on both of these offenses. Neither pass defense is good against wide receivers so the deep shot is always there. Minnesota has played this team tight over the last few years. 8 points is a lot in this year’s NFL. This should be another instant classic between both teams. Take the Vikings and the Over.

NFL
4:40 PM EST
Rotation #147-148
Eagles -1 over Seahawks
Both teams limp into this game with injuries. Both teams are missing men on the offensive line today. Philly is down a lot of receivers and Seattle down a lot of running backs. It’s hard for a team to go on the road without a great running game and win a football game. Seattle was an inch away from winning last week and their playoff road would have been a lot easier. I still don’t trust an older Marshawn Lynch who was out of football for a year to put up big numbers. This game comes down to third down percentage which Philly is better at on both sides of the ball. Seattle does not have a great defense and the areas that they struggle in are Philly’s strengths. Tight end and Running back passes. The winds in this game are set to die down come kickoff, but if they don’t it will be ever harder for Seattle to throw the ball down field. Take Philadelphia.

We pegged an incorrect line in Niagara's opener against Fairfield on Friday night...and we are lucky to get a not nearly adjusted enough spot today in Greg Paulus' boys second MAAC game. They got to stay home, really looked solid on both ends of the floor against the Stars and face Manhattan.
The Jaspers also got an opening win against Canisius and were able to survive due to almost pure futility from deep by the opponent...with Canisius going 5/25 from deep and 10/18 from the line...and losing by 4 points. This is likely VERY minimally baked into this line...and we have a winner with the purple boys from NY who are going to surprise some teams in the league with the strong guard play...specifically from Towns and limiting turnovers with the best of them!
Today is the reckoning for us with our TOP league plays and I think we have a chance to get a solid sweep of the card and really turn things around big time!

UD just beat LaSalle by 10 more points than this....and St. Joe's seems to REALLY be taking a step backward in quality on both ends of the court without Phil Martelli. In fact, they lost by this spread to St. Francis of PA!!!! This is either the laziest line of the year, someone is hurt we don't know about, or Anthony Grant has announced he is going to ease off? This is a solid 10 points off my cap and Temple beat these boys by 50! 50 points....not 17....3 times that!
UD is also fantastic on offense...not like A10 good on offense or anything....great on offense in comparison to Colorado and Kansas et al. Obi Toppin is also POY contender....and not like A10 POY only contender.....first team All-America type great....they should finish the Philly double with another 20+ point win ....and quite easily....17 in each half doesn't sound all that difficult....on accident!

Nothing about this is right and I LOVE it....as I've stated the MAAC has become something a bit of a speciality or a focus for us with our CBB picks and we hit 65% last season in league play.
Iona crapped away their opener against St. Peter's on Friday night and nothing will piss the very experienced Gaels and coach Cluess off more than how the non-conference ended combined with opening at home with an L.
Monmouth also opened with a loss while on the road...now the venues are flipped.but I think the VALUE is being obscured by this...I like the Gaels in the 1st half as well as the full game and will be playing both. Iona has good guard play, creates turnovers via steals and is great at getting to the line. Might sound familiar as this is one of our main analytics points used for plays, especially tight spreads.
Iona wins this game outright close to 60% of the time and as a dog that's ridiculous!

parameters: I would play this equally strong at -1...and probably start to reduce my amount at -1.5 and as it gets higher...for better or worse this likely devolved to Seattle laying a FG

This opened as the Eagles a favorite and it has correctly gone INSANELY the other direction....some books already moving 4 MFing points since open....which was 1 GD hour ago at this point! The Eagles will be the home team but they will again be throwing up their JV squad...if that....to play an angry, driven, possibly conference.best team....
The.Eagles staff and players know they had one solid win with the division on the line...at home...and otherwise even THEY would probably prefer the top 20 draft pick to help retool....this is the NFL version of the LSU/OU CFP semifinal game if you're asking me....and if you hurry you don't even have to give Dougie any points!

The yardage in that first matchup was about even, but Seattle was plus-3 in turnover margin and got 129 rushing yards from Rashaad Penny. He's out today, as is Chris Carson. The Seahawks' injuries are just as significant as the Eagles' absences. With Miles Sanders ready to go, look for Philly to run the ball well against a Seattle D that's been gashed on the ground the past three games.

At the tail end of non-conference play, the Spartans showed why they came into the season as the No. 1 team. They’ll aim for a seventh straight win when they host the Wolverines, who likely will be without F Isaiah Livers due to a groin injury. Still, look for Michigan to get an early lead and cover the spread.

The Spiders have a three-win differential over Rhode Island and have defeated Wisconsin, Vanderbilt and Boston College. Coming off an embarrassing loss to Brown, look for the Rams to be prepared for their first Atlantic 10 matchup of the season. Grab Rhode Island.

John Bollman combines MLB front-office experience with a deep statistical background. Last season Bollman, who has a master's degree in biostatistics, worked in the Toronto Blue Jays' analytics department, focusing on high-performance sports science and player development. In addition to his elite baseball mind, John’s expertise encompasses the NHL and NFL. He is known for his ability to quantify the unquantifiable.

The Red Wings are the lowest scoring team in the league at an average of 2.1 goals per game. The Hawks are ranked 20th in the league in goal scoring at 2.9 goals per game. However, both these teams are also in the top 10 in goals allowed. Special teams will be the difference in scoring in this one, and these teams are ranked 25th and 26th in power play efficiency. I like this under.
