Coastal Carolina scored 1.18 pts/possession in 91-81 home win over Wyoming (77 possessions, fast pace). Wyoming was 13-34 on arc but took only 29 2-point shots; if teams play this fast a pace in Laramie tonite, can Chanticleers handle it? Coastal was +12 on boards in this game; they played three starters 31:00+ Monday, used 8 guys double figure minutes. Wyoming lost big man Moemeka to an injury six minutes in; they played five guys between 29-31:00. Coastal lost five of last seven true road games, with wins at Little Rock/So Alabama. Cowboys are 5-6 in last 11 games but won last five home games- their last home loss was to Colorado State Feb 14.

UMBC is 0-9 vs teams ranked in top 200; they’ve won their last five home games, are #159 experience team playing pace #53. A&M-Corpus Christi tied for 2nd in Southland, lost tourney final in OT; Islanders are #116 team playing pace #155- they’ve won 14 of last 16 games. Furman’s coach has already bolted to Drake; they’ve got an interim coach here. Paladins tied for first in SoCon, then got beat in first round of SoCon tourney- they lost by 6 points, at both Georgia/Michigan, so they’re got some talent- this is first time since ’11 they won 20+ games. Furman is #155 experience team that plays pace #280- they’re 15-3 in their last 18 games. St Peter’s won eight of its last nine games, finished 2nd in MAAC; they’re #35 experience team playing pace #348.
