Free Pick on Blazers/Pelicans OVER
I'm recommending a play on the OVER in Saturday's NBA action that has the Pelicans hosting the Blazers. After going under the total in each of the first two games in the series, New Orleans and Portland combined for 221 in Game 3 to over the mark.
The Pelicans won that game 119-102 to take a commanding 3-0 series lead. I just don't see the defensive intensity being their in Game 4 for either side, as both teams know this this series is all but over.
Over is now 24-9 in the Pelicans last 33 home games and 35-17 in their last 52 games following a win of 10 or more.
Adding to this is a great system in favor of this one eclipsing the mark. The OVER is 44-20 (69%) over the last 5 seasons when you have a total of 210 or more in a game involving a team that's loss 3 straight in the month of April. Take the OVER.

Nationals vs. Dodgers
Dodgers+108
After yesterday’s 5-2 defeat, I think the home side offers great value in this bounce back situation.
The visitors hand the ball to Stephen Strasburg (2-1, 3.08 ERA), who gave up four runs off four hits and one walk with five K’s in a fortunate no-decision against the Rockies on Sunday. Strasburg’s sample size is still too small to completely tell where he’s at right now in 2018, as his 0.99 WHIP is elite, while his 9.2 K/9 is considerably lower than his career norm.
The home side counters with Hyun-Jin Ryu (2-0, 2.87), who struck out nine over six frames in a win over San Diego on Monday night. Ryu was rocked in his season debut, but since then he’s been a rock himself, posting 17 K’s and allowing just four hits and two runs over his last 12 innings of work.
After last night’s collapse and loss by ace Clayton Kershaw, the Dodgers are more than ever relying on solid and consistent production from Ryu.
LA’s four-game win streak in which it scored 37 runs came to a crashing halt last night, but I think the hungry home side is poised for a bounce back as it looks to avenge yesterday’s series opening setback. Consider a play on the Dodgers tonight.
Good luck…Larry

On Saturday the NBA Comp play is on Utah at 10:35 eastern.
The Jazz are off a big upset win at OKC after losing 14 straight there. Now they are home for game 3 and we note that Game 3 home team in round 1 that are off a game 1 loss and game 2 win are 12-5 all time. The Jazz have covered 14 of 18 vs teams who average 105 or more and the host has covered 19 of 27 in the series. OKC has failed to cover 15 of 18 vs division teams and 24 of 35 with revenge. The Thunder are 1-7 ats as a road dog off a home spread loss. Utah takes this one. On Saturday we have a Powerful Hockey, Hoops and Hardball card up led by the NHL Game of the year from an All time Perfect Round 1 Historical system. We have 2 Big NBA plays including a 5* Side and total. In MLB we have Another powerful System card. For the NBA Free play. Play on Utah. RV- GC Sports

Mariners vs. Rangers
10* FREE MLB PICK (Mariners -152)
I'll take my chances here and lay the big juice with the Mariners in Saturday's road contest against the Rangers. I see a massive edge here for Seattle on the mound, as they will send out one of their prized young talents in James Paxton against over-hill veteran Bartolo Colon.
Paxton got off to a bit of a rough start in 2018, but has really turned the corner of late. In his last 2 starts he's allowed just 3 runs on 9 hits with 17 strikeouts in 12 innings of work. Colon has pitched well in each of his first two starts in 2018, but I'm not buying it will last and I think he's due to get hit hard. Give me the Mariners -152!

Twins vs. Rays
DMack's Free Play for Saturday, April 21, 2018, is on the Tampa Bay Rays (Snell Listed)
Better late than never is what I think they used to say and that's been the case with the Ray's Blake Snell. He was highly touted two years ago but could noit stay with he big club. He's been great in four starts, 2-1 with a 2.81 ERA. The Twins counter with Kyle Gibson who has been hit hard and not gone deep into games. Snell has the goods to pitch and the Rays have not been stingy with his run support. Take the Rays with Blake Snell.

Mets vs. Braves
Mets-145
The New York Mets are off to an impressive 14-5 start to the season putting them top of the NL East standings. They're a solid 7-1 on the road following a 5-3 win here at Atlanta on Friday, and I think they'll get the job done again here the next day.
Julio Teheran (1-1, 5.40 ERA) was 0-2 with a 4.50 ERA in three home outings against the Mets last year during a season the right-hander was just 3-10 with a 5.86 ERA in Atlanta compared 8-3 with a 3.14 ERA on the road. He has allowed 10 runs through 14 frames at SunTrust Park so far this year.
Jacob deGrom (2-0, 3.24 ERA) was 2-0 with a 3.00 ERA in three starts against the Braves last season and he is 5-3 with a 2.19 ERA in 11 career games versus Atlanta. Mets are 4-0 in deGroms last four starts at SunTrust Park.

The Washington Capitals and Columbus Blue Jackets are going to at least six games. The Caps tied the series in Columbus, and now both teams have won two in each other's cities. Tonight will be the first time a home team wins, as I like the Capitals to roll momentum over to the weekend, and blast Columbus tonight.
Washington's 4-1 win on Thursday in Game 4 was a defining moment. I thought the Jackets were in a prime position to take command of this series. I spoke with Gabe Dupont earlier in the week, and he's loved Columbus in the series. But he told me to be wary, because Washington could come on strong in these middle games. I don't listen to many handicappers, but when it comes to the NHL, there is nobody I communicate more with that my guy Gabe.
Well sure enough the Caps have tied this game, and tonight Alex Ovechkin will be brilliant in leading his team to a win. In net, I trust will Braden Holtby's absolute best. He stopped 23 of 24 shots in Game 4, and evened his career playoff record at 31-31.
And let's not count out Evgeny Kuznetsov, who recorded four points (1 goal, 3 assists) in Game 4, his first career four point game in the playoffs and the first Capital to record four points since Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom in 2010. Kuznetsov, who has six multi-point games in 43 career playoff games, is just another threat the Jackets have to contend with.
Special teams will help, too, as the Capitals are 7-for-20 on the power-play this postseason, tied for third in the NHL in power-play percentage.
The Caps pull ahead in the series with a blowout win.
3* CAPITALS PUCK LINE

Too many shooters on this court Saturday for me to think this Sixers-Heat contest will hold Under the total.
Game Two is the only game of the three contested that held Under, and that one held Under by a basket (depending where you played the total), and it was a game in which the 76ers shot 7-for-36 from behind the arc!
3 of the past 5 series meetings between the teams in Miami have landed Over the total, and Philly does bring Overs in 4 of their last 5, and 6 of their last 8 overall into this afternoon tilt.
Miami has not been as prolific offensively, but they have been able to land Over the total in 4 of their last 6 overall.
There really is not much of a need to expand further on this Over play. If you have watched these 3 games so far, you know that just quarter two of game two when Philly had more missed shots, and turnovers then a bakery is the only reason ALL 3 of these games played in this series have not landed Over the total.
Philly-Miami Over in Game Four on Saturday afternoon.
3* PHILADELPHIA-MIAMI OVER

Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach NBA Game #717 Saturday Free Pick Philadelphia 76ers (-) @ Miami Heat @ 2:35 ET - With Joel Embiid back for the Sixers, the Heat are finding out how much tougher it is to attack the basket. His presence for the 76ers is huge on both ends of the floor. Philly won Game 3 by 20 and all 3 games in this series have been decided by double digits. That said, I won't hesitate to lay the small number here with Philadelphia in Game 4 on the road. The 76ers are now 18-1 SU in their last 19 games and only 1 of those games was decided by less than 4 points. The Heat have covered just 4 times in their last 13 games. Free Pick PHILADELPHIA

My free winner for Saturday is on the Cincinnati Reds against the St. Louis Cardinals, as we have a huge underdog winner on our hands. And in this game, be sure to list Homer Bailey against Carlos Martinez.
These two pitchers met back on April 15, and it was C-Mart dominating Cincinnati's lineup with 11 strikeouts. But make note Bailey pitched well enough to keep the Reds in a 3-2 loss to the Cardinals on Sunday, and it took St. Louis relievers to get out of jams in the 8th and 9th innings.
In that setback, Bailey delivered the rotation's first seven-inning start of 2018. His only mistake was leaving a 1-0 pitch over the middle of the plate for Harrison Bader, who stroked a two-run homer in the second inning.
I admit Martinez is on a nice roll to start the season, but the Reds lineup could be the equalizer to get to the right-hander. I like Bailey in revenge.
1* REDS (Bailey over Martinez)

My free play for Saturday is on the Milwaukee Brewers Run Line over the Miami Marlins.
MAKE NOTE: All Run Line/Total plays automatically list pitchers with the starters who are scheduled to go at the time of the wager. But with this game I am not concerned with who goes for either team tonight and want you playing this game on the Run Line regardless. That being said, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to be sure you have action even if one of the pitchers scheduled to start is scratched, by re-wagering the game if that takes place.
The Brewers have opened this series with a 12-3 victory and 8-0 shutout. A combined 20-3 start through Games 1 and 2. And during a four-game win streak, Milwaukee has outscored the Cincinnati Reds and Miami, 24-3. That's three shutouts in the team's last four games.
Pitching has been dominant. Hitting has come along.
I don't see any reason why to ignore the surging Brew Crew that is hitting .248 this season, and the league's ninth-most extra basehits (62). Milwaukee's offense will victimize the league's second-worst pitching staff with a 5.63 ERA. Teams are hitting .262 against Miami, which has lost five of six.
The Marlins have been outscored 41-16 during that six-game slide.
Lay the Run Line with the Brewers.
