2012 NASCAR Odds – Sprint All-Star Race – Jimmie Johnson Favored

CONCORD, NC (TheSpread) – This week the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series puts on its annual exhibition race as the Sprint All-Star Race takes place from Charlotte Motor Speedway.

This year’s event will be 90 laps with four segments of 20 laps and a final 10-lap sprint to the finish. The winners of the first four segments will line up in the top four spots to start the final sprint.

According to oddsmakers, Jimmie Johnson is the favorite to win this exhibition event. Other short odds to win are Tony Stewart and Kyle Busch, who each have 7/1 odds.

Johnson won this race in 2006 and 2003. Johnson has an average finish of 7.2 at this track and a driver rating of 108.9, which ranks second amongst current drivers.

Stewart won this event back in 2009. Stewart has an average finish of 7.1 at Charlotte while his driver rating is 83.9, which ranks 10th in the series at this track.

Kyle Busch has never won this event and he has never won at Charlotte Motor Speedway. His average finish in events at this track is 13.8 and his driver rating here is 106.8, which ranks third in the series.
