Dan Barker had three heroes.
``My dad, my grandpa and Roy Williams,'' he said Friday as he carried nachos to his seat at the Alamodome.
These days, though, he only has two.
``Roy Williams dropped pretty far off the list when he left,'' said Barker, a die-hard Kansas fan in search of a certain measure of revenge in Saturday's Final Four meeting against the Tar Heels.
True, it's been five years since Williams shocked the Jayhawk state with his abrupt departure for North Carolina. And Kansas is faring just fine, thank you. |

Tigers Take on Bruins

Kevin Love kept backing up, and a hush fell over the crowd at the Alamodome. They knew what was coming next: The only true long shot at this Final Four.
From full court, the UCLA freshman started launching two-handed heaves at practice Friday.
On his 12th try, bingo! Love banked it home, drew a big ovation and took a full bow.
Come Saturday, UCLA figures to leave the trick shots to Derrick Rose, Chris Douglas-Roberts and Memphis. |
