SUNDAY S~H~O~C~K~W~A~V~E! Week 5

ytd +460 Week 1 only losing week!

TEXANS +150 Texans would like to put a can of whup ass on the Colts for all the years that Indy has dominated. Texans had 5 scoring drives in a row last week, and could continue today since Manning just isn't in sync yet. Colts have come off the bye week strong in recent years and average 33 points in doing so.

LIONS +155 You'd think the Bears would be a shoo in in this spot as they beat the Eagles last week, and even held them to no TD after 4 tries from the 1 yd. line. But Mr. Oddsmaker thinks otherwise, and has only made the line a 3 point affair. Sure, they're moving the money around a little on the 3, but aren't coming off that number. Bears have a tendency to play down to their competition, and that's what I expect again today after their big win over Philly.

FALCONS +160 I warned you days ago about A-Rod's shoulder, and he probably won't even suit up today. And even if he does, his arm isn't going to allow him to throw down the field.Matt Ryan has to prove he can win on the road, and this is the game he does!

49ERS +155 You just have to wonder who's NOT going to take the Patriots with a line this small. Game looks very trappy to me, and I'm going to side with the home team. Mad Man Martz has really got this offense going, and I sure don't expect them to slow down at home. Cassell on the other hand, just hasn't gotten used to this spread offense that Brady had down pat. I think the 49ers can outscore them today.

STEELERS +200 You'd think that everything would point to the Jaguars in this game, and on paper you're right. Line is moving up and just might be -6 by gametime. But if Roethlisberger starts running that no huddle spread offense, there's no telling what might happen to the Jags. Losing their running backs might be the best thing that could have happened to the Steelers! At 2-1, definitely worth a shot!

Being a Detroiter myself I can honestly tell you that I cannot see any scenario in which the Lions can win this game short of the Bears Bus exploding on the way from the hotel to the game.

I like the Texans and the Falcons though this week. G/L
