Carolina Hurricanes DFS Spin

Andrei Svechnikov was placed on long-term injured reserve Wednesday, per CapFriendly.com. Svechnikov will undergo knee surgery Thursday, so this move simply frees up cap space for the Hurricanes for the remainder of the regular season.
